Always assessing. 🤪

If you are new here, hi! 👋 I’m Jenny Thompson. Equine and canine bodyworker based out of the Atlanta area. Empowering horse owners to help their horses move and feel good is my jam.
What a privilege it is to spend my days with these magnificent creatures. 🫶
So lucky to be your partner in this life. 🥺❤️🐴
The equine hyoid region is a delicate collection of bones that connect the tongue, larynx, and pharynx.
This area can often hold tension due to constant chewing/swallowing, as well as bit placement when riding. Amazingly, this tension can show up throughout the entire body - including being short strided!
Leave a 👍 below if you’d like me to share a video of how you can gently release tension on this area of your horse.
I remember telling my husband in the early days that I would make back our initial $3,500 certification investment and then I would go get a “real job”. 🫣
I’m so glad I didn’t give up because these days I have a thriving bodywork business that I love.
I’m putting together an online resource with everything you need to know about building a client base quickly. What works. What doesn’t work. I’m leaning towards a 5-day challenge at this point. Comment WAITLIST below to be the first to know when it launches! 👇

If you’re a newly certified or current equine entrepreneur wondering why the “free session” strategy isn’t working. It’s not you — it’s the strategy.
I’m putting together an online resource with all the details on how I quickly built a strong client base as an equine entrepreneur. Comment WAITLIST below to be the first to know when it’s available. 👇
Becoming a bodyworker changed me as a horse woman, and it happened fast.
Here are the 3 things I started doing immediately.
Number 1 is the one that gets the most pushback, and I stand by it.
Which one would you try first? Tell me below 👇
Unpopular opinion, but I said what I said. 👀
You simply cannot learn a hands-on skill through a computer screen. Massage therapy is tactile — you have to feel what “right” is like under your hands, in real time, with someone correcting you if you get it wrong. A video can’t do that, neither can a zoom call.
If your certification never has you put hands on a real horse under in-person supervision, then you are simply imitating and that’s not real learning. This statement is actually supported by universal learning theories and principles.
And no, submitting case studies at the end of an online course doesn’t count if person doing the teaching isn’t right there with you to provide you with instant feedback.
Change my mind. 👇
