This also refers to my massage table.
Every one has a place on it.
I’ve had women and men tell me that they haven’t gotten massages because they think they are “too fat” or “ too emotional” or “ too ticklish “ or “ too muscular” or “ too thin”. and others have said they felt uncomfortable and unwanted on the tables of other massage therapists.

I had a woman cry during her session and tell me that this was the first time she felt like she was being touched with kindness and understanding and not force or obligation.

And that made me cry.

I believe touch heals from the outside in and I know that how we touch the body leaves marks upon the soul.

I will hold space for each person on my table and treat them with honor and respect and compassion the same way I have been treated by God.

Let me assure you, I will unapologetically remove myself from any table that doesn’t have a “come sit with us” vibe.

We’re too old for the mean girl stuff, and we’ve all been the one rejected before. We’ve all been the one left out and we’ve all been the one who was the topic of conversation when we weren’t there to defend ourselves, and it hurt us deeply.

I know I’ll say the wrong things sometimes, and I know I’ll mess up and act out of character on occasion. I’m a mess of a human and I realize that but I refuse to knowingly inflict pain on another human being at this point in my life.

I’d rather sit alone.

From my morning devotional.

I am humbled and amazed that God chose me to work on His masterpieces that He created and loves so deeply.
When I touch some body, it’s with wonder and gratitude at what He’s made- each person fearfully and wonderfully made in His image. As a bodyworker, I understand the muscles, fascia, ligaments, bones and joints, but that’s only the surface- God created the blood vessels, the heart to beat just so, the lungs to exhale and inhale, the ears to hear and the eyes to see and the soul to know it’s worth.

I hold each person that comes to see me in high regard as His beloved and I know He is sensing people to me for reasons.

It is my calling, my heart’s desire to touch the body and reach the soul.

May my words always reflect that I am Your daughter
