Long stemming issues and injuries often need to be approached with enough attention, sometimes aggressively, to retrain the tissues to behave as they are intended and not in a state of tension, hypersensitivity, and/or pain. Just as in exercise, one cannot realistically expect to make legitimate improvements without some adjustment pain, but it is always performed within your tolerance and feedback during the process is required. The better we communicate, the better your results. Oh, and often times your clothing may remain during most sessions unless its otherwise deemed necessary for that session. This is one of the benefits to utilizing many techniques.
