Okay this one feels so Devin. š„¹
When I was younger, I LOVED Annieāactually, who am I kidding? I loved all musicals. š And one line that has always stuck with me is, āYouāre never fully dressed without a smile.ā
As a lash artist, I take so many pictures where the focus is on the lashes, the curl, the mapping, the fullness, the retention. But sometimes I forget that itās really my clients who make my work look so beautiful!!
And Devin has one of those smiles that is absolutely contagious! She is such a joy to have in my spa, and I swear you can feel her happiness through this picture!

Milli said ādo whatever you want, Kaitāā¦ dangerous words to say to your lash artist. š
I know Milli LOVES a cat eye, but a traditional cat-eye map can pull the outer corners downward on her eye shape. So today we gave her the cat-eye energy she lovesāwith a little Kait!
For her UV lash set, I brought her to her longest lengths before the very outer corner, then shortened the last few sections by a couple lengths. This keeps that elongated, flirty look while helping the outer edge of her eye appear lifted instead of droopy.
Because lash mapping isnāt one-size-fits-all. Iām looking at your eye shape, bone structure, natural lashes AND the look you love to create something specifically for you!

I am SO excited to officially introduce UV LASHES using the Opal LED UV Lash System by Lash Apothecary! š Come spend part of my day off and watch me unbox and learn a little something about UV down below!
Soā¦ what exactly makes UV lashes different?
With traditional lash adhesive, the bond cures based heavily on the temperature and humidity in the room. With the Opal system, I get to control exactly when that bond cures! Once your extension is perfectly placed, a targeted 400nm light cures the adhesive in just seconds.
And the part I know my lash girls are going to LOVEā¦
āØ BETTER RETENTION! āØ
Because each bond is cured immediately and consistently, UV lashes can give us stronger, more predictable retention ā potentially giving some clients up to an EXTRA WEEK between fills! Lash Apothecary actually rates their Opal adhesive for 5-6 week retention of individual extensions, although your natural lash cycle means youāll still shed lashes normally and regular fills are still recommended. But retention isnāt the only reason Iām excited about this system.
The Opal adhesive is formulated with lower cyanoacrylate levels than many traditional adhesives, produces significantly fewer fumes according to Lash Apothecary, and isnāt dependent on constantly changing temperature and humidity. That means a more controlled application for me and a more comfortable lash experience for you. š
UV lashes do NOT mean zero allergies, and they arenāt a cure for an existing adhesive allergy ā but the lower-fume system may be a better experience for some clients who have dealt with sensitivity or irritation in the past.
Think of it as the lashes you already know and loveā¦
just with a little more science behind the scenes. š§ŖāØ

I took a little time away to explore somewhere Iād never been before, and Minneapolis was so fun! We wrapped up the trip with a stop in the Wisconsin Dells, making it the perfect little getaway.
From watching the Fourth of July fireworks along the riverbank, to playing mini golf in one of the coolest places Iāve ever seen, every day was filled with new memories. And I have to give a special shoutout to Tongue in Cheekāhands down my favorite meal of the trip. I already canāt wait to go back.
As wonderful as it was to rest, recharge, and soak it all in, Iām genuinely so excited to be back at the spa today. Thereās nothing I love more than helping my clients feel beautiful, confident, and cared for.
