🥪🌱 ROOTED IN ROCK SPRINGS: Boschetto's European Mkt.

Some businesses are part of Downtown. Others are part of its history.

Our next Rooted in Rock Springs feature is Boschetto's European Market, a longtime Rock Springs institution located at 617 Broadway. Boschetto’s was founded by Ben Boschetto, who immigrated to Rock Springs from northern Italy, and the business has carried Italian food traditions forward through generations of the Boschetto family.

And if you’ve lived in Rock Springs for any length of time, there’s a good chance you already have a Boschetto’s favorite.

Maybe it’s The Godfather, a Philly cheesesteak or French dip. Maybe it’s their pizza or one of their classic hot and cold sandwiches. Or maybe it’s the thing Boschetto’s is especially famous for: Kronski’s Sausage.

That Kronski tradition runs especially deep. The hickory-smoked garlic sausage recipe has been passed down through generations, and today it remains one of those uniquely Rock Springs foods that locals know—and former residents are happy to get their hands on when they come home.

Boschetto’s also reflects an important piece of the Rock Springs story. Our community was shaped by immigrants who came here from around the world, bringing their traditions, cultures and foods with them. More than a century later, you can still experience pieces of that heritage simply by walking into businesses like Boschetto’s.

That’s about as Rooted in Rock Springs as it gets. ❤️

Local businesses like this don’t just give us somewhere to eat. They become part of our traditions—places we remember, foods we crave and businesses we’re proud to introduce to someone visiting town for the first time.

So the next time lunch rolls around, skip the ordinary and think local first. Grab a sandwich, pick up some Kronski’s and support a Rock Springs tradition that has been serving this community for generations.

🐝🌱 ROOTED IN ROCK SPRINGS: Wild Hive Boutique

There’s something especially fitting about a shop called the Wild Hive—because this one really is a collection of local creativity all under one roof.

One of Downtown Rock Springs’ newest businesses, Wild Hive Boutique opened its doors this summer at 718 Pilot Butte Avenue, bringing together unique, beautiful and handcrafted products from local vendors and makers.

The boutique grew out of 307 Family Crafters, a Rock Springs-based handmade business, and you’ll find plenty of their creations inside—from handcrafted soaps, bath and body products and fragrances to cozy handmade blankets and other gift-worthy finds.

But what we especially love about Wild Hive is that it creates an opportunity for other makers and small businesses to grow, too. Its shelves feature products from local vendors, meaning one stop can introduce you to the work of several entrepreneurs from our community.

And that’s exactly the kind of ripple effect we’re talking about with Rooted in Rock Springs.

When you choose a locally owned boutique, you aren’t simply buying a candle, blanket, self-care item or gift. You’re supporting the person who opened the storefront, the makers whose products fill it, and a new business that chose to invest right here in Rock Springs.

Plus, there’s just something better about giving a gift and being able to say, “This was made right here.” ❤️

So whether you need a gift, want to treat yourself, or just want to see what some of our local makers have been creating, stop in, explore the Hive and think local first. 🐝

⚖️🌱 ROOTED IN ROCK SPRINGS: HAMPTON & NEWMAN, L.C.

Some of the most important local businesses are the ones you hope you’ll never need—but are grateful to have close to home when you do.

Our next Rooted in Rock Springs feature is The Law Offices of Hampton & Newman, L.C., a Rock Springs law firm with deep Wyoming roots and decades of experience representing people throughout our community and across the state. The firm is located at 118 3rd Street in Downtown Rock Springs.

The firm focuses primarily on personal injury, workers’ compensation and criminal defense, handling matters ranging from motor vehicle, industrial, oilfield and mining accidents to wrongful death claims, workplace injuries and criminal cases.

Today, the firm’s attorneys include Michael D. Newman and Joseph A. “Joe” Hampton, with David A. Hampton now retired. Michael Newman has practiced in Wyoming since 1988, while Joe Hampton joined the Wyoming bar in 2016 and focuses much of his practice on criminal defense.

Their commitment to Downtown extends beyond the work they do inside their offices. Hampton & Newman was recognized with a 2026 Golden Broom Award for the care and preservation of their historic property. Their offices are located in the former home of Archibald Blair, widely recognized as Rock Springs’ first citizen, in a house constructed between 1897 and 1903. Hampton & Newman acquired the property in 2005 and carefully restored and renovated it for use as their law offices, preserving its historic character while giving the landmark a new purpose.

That combination of professional service, community investment and pride of place is exactly what Rooted in Rock Springs is all about. Supporting local isn’t just about where we shop or eat. It’s also about the professionals we turn to for expertise and assistance—and the businesses that choose to invest in and care for the community they call home.

So when you need professional services, remember to think local first.
