I’ve had the absolute pleasure of having this beautiful girl in my chair time and time again for her lash lifts, and this appointment felt a little different because… **she’s getting MARRIED this weekend!!** 💍✨

I’m so grateful for the trust she continues to place in me and for all of the conversations, laughs, and life updates we’ve shared along the way. Getting to know my clients and being part of these little moments leading up to some of their biggest ones is truly one of my favorite parts of what I do.

Some moments in this career stay with you long after the brushes are put away. This is one of them. 🤍

I recently had the incredible honor of being contacted by Wish Upon a Wedding and Event and Wedding Planner to be a small part of a very special vow renewal at Pomona at Blue Barn for a woman currently battling stage 4 cancer.

Before the big day, I had the opportunity to meet her for a makeup trial. We talked about how she wanted to feel, created a look that still felt like *her*, and spent time together preparing for a day that held more meaning than words can really express.

Then came the vow renewal.

There was something so powerful about watching an entire group of people come together to create a beautiful celebration centered around love (please see my last post and the following slides for a full list of the vendors involved!). In the middle of something unimaginably difficult, this day was about joy, commitment, memories, and honoring the life and love she and her husband have built together.

Being the person trusted to do her makeup felt like such a small part of something so much bigger.

As makeup artists, we often talk about making people feel beautiful—but days like this remind me that our work can mean so much more. For a little while, my chair can be a place where someone is cared for, pampered, celebrated, and reminded of just how beautiful they are.

To Wish Upon a Wedding and Crown Coordination, thank you for reaching out to me and trusting me to be part of something so meaningful. And to my beautiful client, thank you for allowing me into such a personal chapter of your story. It was an honor to meet you, to spend that time with you at your trial, and to help you get ready to say “I do” all over again. 🤍

Life is precious. Love deserves to be celebrated. And this is one of those days I know I’ll carry with me for a very long time.

The goal is never to cover up *you*, but to create a look that makes you feel comfortable, confident, and still like yourself. We focused on evening out the complexion, softly neutralizing redness, and keeping the rest of the makeup polished, natural, and understated.

Because elevated makeup doesn’t always have to mean more — sometimes it’s simply about knowing where to enhance, where to soften, and when to keep things effortless. ✨
