A little over a year ago my mom and I launched Angel’s Big Splash, and the book we dreamed up at the kitchen table finally became a reality! 🥹📚
Writing it together was so special, and I’m so proud of the message we got to put into the world: our differences aren't something to hide, but to embrace and celebrate. Since it's also National Book Month, here's to the stories that help us feel seen, and to having the bravery to tell your own.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this one means a little more to me this year 💕
I’m so incredibly proud of my mom and the bravery and positivity she has shown throughout her journey with breast cancer. It affects so many people worldwide, and every conversation that encourages awareness, early detection, and research can make a big difference when it comes to treatment and recovery.
So this month, I’m thinking lots about my mom, those who are still fighting, and the families standing beside them. Let’s keep talking, keep learning, and keep raising awareness. 🎀

Let's all make bravery feel a little less intimidating!
You don't have to climb a mountain or do something extraordinary to call yourself brave. Sometimes courage shows up in the most average parts of your day. So today, look for one small opportunity to be a little braver than you were yesterday. You might just surprise yourself! 💜
Seeing your words about Angel’s Big Splash means more to us than you know. 💛📖
We created Angel’s story hoping kids would see themselves in her, feel a little more confident in their own skin, and know that being different is something to celebrate. Seeing readers connect with that message has been so special.
If you've read Angel's Big Splash, we'd love to hear what you think! Head over to Amazon to leave a review and help other families discover Angel's story, too.

Each new season of life brings something I didn't expect. Sometimes it's a new challenge. Sometimes it's a new passion. And sometimes it's realizing that the things I worried about before don't matter quite as much anymore.
I'm learning to appreciate where I am while still being excited about where I'm going. There's so much ahead, and I'm ready to see what comes next! 🌻

I never expected that sharing my own story would give me so many opportunities to connect with other kids and families!
Now my mom and I get to bring those conversations into our communities, talking about everything from vitiligo and self-confidence to bravery, representation, and the story behind Angel’s Big Splash. If you're looking for a personal, encouraging conversation that helps young people feel seen and empowered, let's connect!

Ever wondered what’s actually happening when vitiligo appears on the skin?
Our skin gets its pigment from cells called melanocytes. With vitiligo, the immune system mistakenly attacks these cells, resulting in areas of depigmented skin. The more that people understand what’s happening beneath the surface, the more we can help them see beyond the spots!
A little get ready with me moment before the Olivia Dean concert! 🎶
I had the best time getting a blowout at in Edina before heading out to the concert! It was such a perfect way to get ready for a fun night, and who doesn't a little pre-show pampering? Thank you for the wonderful experience! 🫶
