Mahri instills so much of her knowledge, empathy, power, discernment, softness, and resilience into all willing to listen and to do the work. She creates a safe space for growth and evolution for all who enter Parlor and makes this world a better place just by existing.

MEMORIAL RIDE for King, The family is requesting a Memorial Ride in his honor on Saturday, June 20th. Leaving from Roses parking lot, 3000 Mechanicsville Tpke. Be there by 1:00, KSU 2:00 pm.
The ride will go to Swim RVA, 317 N.Wilkinson Rd. His family would like everyone to wear blue💙 to show support for him.
Please bring one of these items, a balloon, a teddy bear or a candle.

The family is working with local police departments for an escorted, ride. They said they will try their best.

Unpopular opinion: curls aren’t a fad 🤷‍♀️ Over here, “the curl bubble” never popped; it just keeps getting bigger, more resilient, and floating along with us. Because curls, coils, and kinky hair existed before 2020.

Before we opened our doors in 2014, education of ALL textures was built into Parlor’s foundation. It was (and continues to be) essential that all textures, genders, age, races, religions can come in and feel welcomed, seen, and safe to get their hair done the way THEY want. It’s never been about following one method; it’s about how getting as much education as possible and incorporating it all to make a well-rounded stylist with a versatile clientele, who you can teach and encourage to wear their hair they way they want to see it.

Because the only one right way to do a hair is the way that makes you and your client the happiest 💛🌻
