Virginia Eye Institute turns 50! 🎉

In 1976, Virginia Eye Institute began with a vision for what eye care in our community could be. Fifty years later, that vision has grown into something bigger than we could have imagined.

Generations of patients have trusted us with their sight. Providers and associates have built careers here. Families have referred families. And through every new location, advancement and chapter, our commitment to caring for our community has remained at the heart of who we are.

We’ll be celebrating all year long by sharing stories from the patients, providers and associates who have shaped VEI over the last five decades, along with pieces of our history and plenty of fun along the way.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Ellis to Virginia Eye Institute.

Before beginning her career in optometry, Dr. Ellis proudly served in the United States Army. She later graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Alaska Anchorage, earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry, and completed residency training in Ocular Disease at the Memphis VA Medical Center.

Dr. Ellis is passionate about providing compassionate, comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages, and we’re excited to have her join the VEI team.
