Your wax appointment is only part of the result. šš¼
One of the biggest things I want my clients to understand is that what you do with your skin between appointments matters just as much as what I do in the treatment room.
Ingrowns donāt automatically mean something went wrong with your wax. More exfoliation isnāt always better. And something as simple as keeping your skin properly hydrated can actually make a difference in how your hair releases at your next appointment.
Thatās exactly why Iām so excited to be working with Waxed Skin. It gives me a complete system I can recommend instead of sending you home to piece together random products and hope for the best.
Cleanse. Recover. Correct. Maintain. Protect. š¤
Over the next few weeks, Iāll be breaking down each step, what it does, who needs it, and how to actually use it.
Better waxing starts with healthier skin.
Save this one for your next wax, and tell me: whatās your biggest post-wax struggleāingrowns, irritation, dryness, or something else?
I have news!
You guys know how much I love waxing, and Iām always telling my clients that what you do at home is just as important as what I do in the treatment room.
Well, Iāve officially partnered with Waxed Skin, a skincare line entirely focused on caring for waxed skin, as their founding educator.
Iāve been using the products for the last couple of weeks, and I genuinely love them. Iām so excited to finally start sharing them with you.
Over the next few months, Iāll be breaking down the products: what they do, how to use them, and who theyāre for, both in the treatment room and at home.
I canāt wait to show you how the right skincare can help you get optimal results from your waxes.
I donāt anticipate every reel being a big, wordy, expose-my-soul situation š
Iām really just taking this day by day and figuring out what showing up as myself looks like now. But today I was getting ready, listening to worship music, and thinking about how much better life is. š¤
Iāve been wanting to share more of my testimony, even some of the really big parts, but I think Iām learning that I donāt have to share everything all at once. Over the last couple of weeks, Iāve been able to share some things with my Bible study girls that used to carry so much shame for me. Things God and Jesus have brought me through and changed in me. I adore those women, and having a safe place to start saying some of those things out loud has made me realize that maybe one day those parts of my story can be useful to someone else too. Maybe someone who is still sitting in something Iāve been brought out of. Thatās really why Iām sharing any of this. Not because I have it all figured out, but because if something God has taught me is my story is meant to help other people.
Iāve also spent SO much of my life trying to be beautiful the way the world told me to be beautiful. One of my prayers over the last six months has simply been, āGod, make me beautiful the way You made me beautiful.ā And I think part of that is letting myself be the person He actually made. Iām silly. Iām awkward. Iām gentle. Iām not always assertive. I stumble over my words. I care a lot. Maybe I donāt need to polish all of that away before I let myself be seen.
So⦠I have absolutely no idea what tomorrowās reel will be. Iām just going to keep showing up day by day, sharing what feels useful and honest, and trusting Him with the rest. š¤
Donāt mind me, just spilling my heart, sharing some lessons learned, talking skincare⦠and Jesus.
Sound on if that piques your interest. Otherwise, just look at how cute P was on his first day of Pre-K. š„¹
Iāve realized how many opportunities Iāve prayed for and then been afraid to fully step into because being seen can feel scary. Iām so grateful for this new relationship and reliance on God and Jesus, and for the realization that I donāt have to compartmentalize my faith from my career anymore. I can show up, use what Iāve been given, and trust His love, strength and guidance with the outcome.
Also happening: Iām officially doing 30 days of Clayton Shagal Fundamentals. Iāve been told Iāll be blown away by what the cleanser + Fundamentals alone can do when I stick with the system, so naturally, I need to put that to the test on my own skin. š
So⦠no promises š but Iām going to try to get back to creating and posting regularly. A little skincare, a little life, a lot more faith, and hopefully a little less fear of being seen.
Letās talk about something most people deal with⦠but no one really explains š¹
BioRePeel Rose is a professional peel formulated specifically for intimate and sensitive areas ā not your typical facial peel repurposed for down there.
Hereās what makes it different.
Intimate skin has:
⢠thinner, more reactive tissue
⢠higher risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
⢠frequent irritation from shaving, waxing, friction
This peel is designed to work with that biology, not against it
It can help support:
⨠brightening + evening out discoloration
⨠reducing the look of scars + post-ingrown marks
⨠calming congestion and irritation
⨠improving overall skin tone and texture
And unlike aggressive peels, it focuses on skin renewal without excessive peeling or barrier damage ā which is critical in these areas.
If youāre researching treatments (as a client or esthetician), this is one worth knowing about.
š You can find it through Bombshell Wax, the exclusive distributor for ROSE

I got to try a new treatment yesterdayā¦
and Iām really excited to share more about this collab in the next few weeks
Iāve been thinking a lot about how isolating this industry can feel sometimes.
We graduate⦠go our separate ways⦠and then itās like weāre all just trying to figure it out on our own.
Comparing. Overthinking. Burning out. Wondering if weāre doing it āright.ā
And I just donāt think it has to be that way.
So I created a Facebook group specifically for estheticians in North Georgia š¤
A space to connect, ask questions, share experiences, and actually support each other.
You donāt have to be in Georgia to join, but part of the goal is to build something local too...
regular in-person networking, sharing events, and creating real connections outside of social media.
Not competitive.
Not cliquey.
Just real people who want to grow.
If youāve been craving more community in this industry⦠this is for you.

If no oneās told you today: youāre like⦠really pretty.
Love,
The Good Esthetician š
Not in a studio right now, but still creating, still learning, still sharing what I love.
Beauty pros ā donāt wait for the āperfect timeā to post. Real > perfect, always.
This wax pot comeback though š
Sound on for the tip.
Earlier this week I checked out Bombshell Wax for the soft wax cartridge warmer (Iām obsessed with the idea of quicker, cleaner services for larger areas)⦠but then I started browsing and suddenly had a full cart š Their site is honestly so easy to navigate and it has pretty much everything you could ever need for a wax studio in one place. I even got 10% off just for adding my email, which felt like a little win. Excited to play around with all of this and see what becomes a new staple in my setup.
