Ladybug Park 🐞 Project (Rivercrest Park Redding, Ca)...
Our starting goal is to paint 100 Ladybugs and hide them throughout the Park. Some to take home, some to play hide and seek with, some to make and replace. My family and I are starting on a few and hiding them around. We wanted to add some fun and color to the park. We need the communities help. You're welcome to add to our collection around the park.



You'll need:
Round small flat oval rocks 🪨
Acrylic paint makers
Wash your rocks
Paint them
Seal them with clear coat spray can waterproofing all-purpose spray
Set out and let dry

Fun fact about Ladybugs 🐞

Native Ladybugs vs Asian ladybugs

You can tell native California ladybugs from invasive multicolored Asian lady beetles by checking the marking behind their head, their body shape, and their color.

Head Markings (Pronotum)

Asian Lady Beetle: Features a distinct black "M" or "W" shape inside a white patch right behind its head.

Native Ladybug: Has a mostly black shield behind the head with small, simple white markings or a white spot on each side, but no "M" shape.

Color and Spots

Asian Lady Beetle: Ranges widely in color from pale yellow and orange to bright red, and can have anywhere from no spots up to 19 spots (or heavy, erratic speckling).

Native Ladybug: Usually a vibrant, deep red with a clearer, more predictable count of black spots.

Body Shape and Size

Asian Lady Beetle: Slightly larger (about 1/4 inch long), more oval-shaped, and has a higher, chunkier, or more bulbous dome.

Native Ladybug: Smaller and more symmetrically round.

Behavior and Home Invasions

Asian Lady Beetle: Gathers in large swarms on house siding, attics, or wall spaces to overwinter, can bite humans, and secretes a foul-smelling yellowish fluid when threatened.

Native Ladybug: Winters outdoors in leaf litter or mountain foothills and rarely enters homes in large nuisance numbers.

DATE CHANGED AND THEME CHANGE. REGGAE FEST has been CANCELED. The band double booked during the date changes. So we got some awesome Dj's lining up. Thanks for working with us during the switch ups.

Lumberjack festival was a great success. Everybody had a wonderful time. So many return customers and some new faces. It was a 3 day event, camping 🏕 😀 2pm-11p fri , sat and sun 8am-11p. Wooo🫡🥱 but, totally worth it👩‍🎨🖌🎨🌈🥰🙄❣️🌠🌄🌌

Wow so much fun at the Sheraton Hotel as always. This is my 4th, maybe 5th year with them I believe. So many satisfied faces that got to enjoy my face painting for the 4th of July. I got to celebrate my 10 year wedding anniversary with my family upclose and personal right under the fireworks 🎆 ☺️. What a amazing time👩‍🎨🖌🎨🌈🥰🥳❣️
