Take a short stroll along the shoreline, or if you’re ready for more, hop on the Clear Creek Vista Trail. This scenic hike climbs gradually for 2.4 miles one way (4.8 miles round trip) with about 300 feet of elevation gain, offering beautiful canyon views and a glimpse into the area’s rich mining history.

Whether you’re stopping for a picnic, photographing the reflections on the water, or heading out on the trail, this is a wonderful place to experience a quieter side of Whiskeytown.

While hiking near McCulloch Falls on the Sloppy Joe Trail, I came across this incredible moss-covered tree. The more I looked at it, the more it seemed to have its own personality!

Nature has a way of creating artwork when we slow down and pay attention.
