What does “simple” personal care mean to you? 🌱
Before there was Hippotanicals , there was Happi Hippo. 🦛🌿
Our brand has changed quite a bit over the years, from our original name and packaging to the look and feel of Hippotanicals today.
As we grew, we wanted our branding to grow with us. We refreshed our packaging, evolved our identity, and created a brand that better reflects what we stand for today.
But while the name and look changed, our heart stayed the same. 💚

Apparently, our lip balm has some very dedicated fans… and they have four legs.
We were just trying to have a little fun with our Hippotanicals lip balm, but our dog had other plans. He sniffed it, stared at it, and made it very clear that he wanted it. Then the cat joined in because, of course, they couldn’t miss out on the action.
Don’t worry, the lip balm is for humans, but apparently the pets approve of the smell! 🌿💚

Last week at a dental conference, I was so excited to see the BeeSure booth that I just had to stop by and say hello! 🦷🐝💚
As a dentist who also cares about sustainability, I truly appreciate what BeeSure is doing. They create dental products that help meet the needs of our profession while conserving resources and incorporating recycled materials.
So far, I’ve used their gloves and face masks and have been very happy with them. I highly recommend them to my fellow dentists and dental professionals, and I look forward to trying more of their dental disposables.
One reality of dentistry is that it’s nearly impossible to eliminate plastic. Patient safety and infection control must always come first. But whenever we have the opportunity to reduce unnecessary waste without compromising care, I believe it’s worth doing. I’m grateful that companies like BeeSure are providing better alternatives.
I also admire their commitment beyond dentistry:

One of the highlights of my trip to Sacramento this week for a dental continuing education conference was finally getting to visit Nudge Eco Store - Eco-friendly everyday products Nudge and finally get to meet Nick, co-owner of Nudge Eco Store - Eco-friendly everyday products! 💚
If you’re in the Sacramento area, I highly recommend stopping by.

They also have an online store, and locals can conveniently order online for pickup.
The shop is beautifully curated with everything from clean makeup and reusable coffee cups to laundry detergent, oral care, soaps, and so many other thoughtfully selected products.
My favorite find? Their eucalyptus shower steamers! 🌿 They’re their best seller, and now I understand why. Yhey smell SOOOO amazing! Nick even shared a fun tip: place one in a pot of simmering water to fill your home with a refreshing eucalyptus aroma.
I’m especially grateful to Nick and Alicia for being such wonderful supporters of Hippotanicals. It means so much to partner with retailers who share a passion for healthier, more sustainable living.
