If you’ve sent me a request and I haven’t posted it yet, PLEASE don’t feel ignored.

I promise you, I’m not intentionally ignoring anyone. The number of DMs I receive every single day is overwhelming, and I’m doing my very best to keep up with everything.
I recently saw someone reminding me that she had sent in her request and I hadn’t posted it yet. When I checked the date, I realized it had been almost TWO MONTHS! 😭

I felt so bad because I genuinely had no idea it had been sitting there for that long. And that made me realize there may be other people in the same situation.

Here’s what happens: new messages keep coming in and pushing older messages down. Even when I deliberately scroll back to attend to the older ones, I may come across someone I need to follow up with, a pending conversation, additional information I need to clarify, or another request that needs attention.

Sometimes I can spend HOURS going through messages, answering questions, making adjustments to requests, following up with people, checking details, and trying to make sure everything is done properly.

It’s a LOT. 🥹

I know someone may say, “Joy, just employ someone to help you.”

Trust me, I have thought about it.

In fact, a sister on this page even offered to pay someone to help me if I was willing to work with them. Sis, if you see this, please know that I genuinely appreciate that offer.

But I have prayerfully considered it, and one of my biggest concerns is confidentiality.

People come into my DMs and share very personal and sometimes extremely sensitive information. Some people are vulnerable enough to tell me things they may not even tell people around them.

I don’t take that trust lightly.

So I honestly struggle with the idea of handing over my DMs to someone when I don’t know how that person will handle the information shared with them.

The moment someone trusts you with personal information and that information gets exposed, that trust is broken.

And for me, that is something I’m very serious about protecting.

So while I’m still thinking about the best way to manage everything, PLEASE, if you sent me a message or request and it has been over a month without a response, kindly resend it.

You can simply send “Hi” or remind me briefly about your previous message. Once the new message comes in, it will push the conversation back up for me to see.

I know some of you have been patiently waiting, and I truly appreciate your patience.

I may not be able to respond as quickly as I would love to, but please know that I’m not deliberately ignoring you.

I will continue doing my best to get to everyone.

And yes, being a subscriber is still an advantage because it gives you a more swift response and easier access to me.

I saw this post and honestly, I had to bring it here because there is a lesson in it.

Some of you are praying, “Jehovah, please give me a husband/wife,” but when someone genuinely approaches you, you’re suddenly too busy to reply. 😭

You want a relationship, but you don’t want to communicate.

You want a good spouse, but you don’t want to learn how to relate with people.
You want someone intentional, but you’re giving everyone who approaches you attitude. 😩

Prayer is important, but so is wisdom.

Ask God not only for the right person, but also for the wisdom to recognize good character, communicate respectfully, ask the right questions, set healthy boundaries, and conduct yourself in a way that allows a genuine connection to grow.

And please, being selective is NOT the same as being rude. 😂

You don’t owe everyone your attention or a relationship, but you can still say, “Thank you, but I’m not interested.” There is wisdom in kindness too.

At the end of the day, don’t just pray for a spouse. Pray for wisdom, discernment, good judgment and the ability to be a good spouse yourself.

Because sometimes the prayer isn’t only “Jehovah, send me someone.”

It is also: “Jehovah, prepare ME.”
