We live in a world where a lot of people only want to talk about themselves. You could be going through a rough time and nobody cares. They’ll call, talk for long stretches about their life, and never once ask how you’re doing, how your children are doing, or what’s been going on in your world. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I used to be the type to just listen and take it all in, but I’ve realized something, people will use your valuable time to consume you with what they want to talk about. That’s not balanced, that is sometimes draining. 💯

Going forward, I’m being more mindful about my energy and my conversations. If someone calls and it turns into a one-sided conversation, I’m going to call you out on it. I need space for mutual care and real connection..not just being an audience for someone else’s life. 🙄

So when you call me don’t make it all about you. Believe it or not, if you like this dealing with your friends and family.

There is a quiet maturity that comes with change… when you can move forward, stay true to yourself, and still respect the journey of others. That’s where the real beauty of growth lives. 🌱🦋

Some days don’t feel perfect, but they are still purposeful. Even in the quiet moments, slow progress, or unexpected challenges something in you is still growing, still becoming stronger, still being shaped for what’s ahead.

Don’t overlook today just because it doesn’t look like what you planned. There is grace in the small wins, strength in showing up, and favor in simply not giving up.

Keep going!! What’s meant for you is still on its way.

Next Saturday, I’ll be hosting a small, intimate event where you can come in, talk with me, and ask any questions you may have about getting started in cosmetology.
