Words cannot express the gratitude I have for knowing Sarah.

We met in 2023. She first came to sit in my chair as a client. We had an incredible appointment talking about faith, neurodivergence, ADHD, and everything in between. There was lots of real moments and I obediently, as the Lord prompted me, invited her to church.

I spent 4 weeks in a row reaching out, a declined invite every time. But I never stopped praying for Sarah. Four months later, I was on my way to work and Sarah texted me she wanted to come to our women’s event that was coming up. To say I started ugly crying is an understatement.

And she did. She came, with her daughters, and we had a great evening. Little did I know how the Lord would bless us with a wonderful friendship. She has prayed for me on numerous occasions, given words of wisdom when needed, planned my baby shower with our friend Kelley when I was pregnant, and she has been such an incredible friend these past few years. I am incredibly blessed to celebrate her today and cannot wait to pamper her tomorrow for her appointment!

There’s a reason behind all the little details.

It’s not just the hair. It’s the trust, the conversations, the time together, and knowing you chose to spend your time in my chair.

I’m incredible grateful for every women who allows me to be part of her hair journey.

I’ve been thinking a lot about this verse and the season of life I’m in.

Right now, our family is working toward paying off debt and making plans for the future, and it can be easy to get so focused on what’s ahead that I forget to simply live in the day God has given me. As a stylist, my income, naturally ebbs and flows. My books fluctuate. Some weeks are full, some weeks are slower, and there are so many things about tomorrow that I simply cannot control. So I’m learning to ask the Lord for enough for today.

Enough wisdom for today. Enough provision for today. Enough strength for today. Enough grace for today.

My job is to be a good steward of what He has placed in my hands today - not to try to carry tomorrow before it arrives. There will always be another goal, another bill, another appointment to book, another thing to plan for. But today is the day I’ve actually been given. So I’m choosing to embrace it, steward it well, and trust the Lord with what comes next.

Tomorrow belongs to Him. Today is mine to faithfully live.

Erin had a birthday yesterday but I wasn’t posting on Sabbath.

I met Erin when I first moved here and it has been a pleasure getting to know her and watch her family grow over the years. I pray this year is another incredible year for her and that it’s full of memories and blessings.

I completely missed wishing my client Megan a happy birthday!
