Sage any time of day you may feel a little heavy. šŸ’š
Sometimes after giving a massage is a good time for me as I feel all the energy released ~ not necessarily a bad thing ~ but I’m trying to be more mindful of mine alone.

My Restore Yourself Moment — Monday, October 5, 2026

After having the grandkids overnight, I snuck outside early in the morning with a cup of coffee and took a little time to reflect on the blessings of the day before.

We carved pumpkins together, and I knew it would be a challenge—but it was definitely harder than I remembered. Wesley, being nine, was so focused on his pumpkin, and it was really neat to sit back and watch him work at it. Asher colored his at first and then he asked to carve it, he has a spider on the other side.

Those three little people sure know how to fill my heart. ā¤ļø Sometimes being with them takes me back to when Rachel and Randy were little, but at the same time, I love seeing how each one of the grandkids is completely their own little person.

After everyone was picked up, Grandma made hot cup of coffee, a warm bath with patchouli, and a little quiet time to soak it all in.

Tired body. Full heart. So very grateful. šŸ¤Ž

My Restore Yourself Moments — Sunday 10.4.26 šŸŽƒšŸ§”

Today my Restore Yourself moments were called Wesley, Devon, and Asher!

These little people bring me so much joy, and today my heart was completely full. They are some of my biggest ā€œwhys,ā€ and I’m grateful for every bit of time I get with them.

We built Legos, ate junk food, carved pumpkins, hugged a lot, and laughed a lot. We even found a house decorated so incredibly for Halloween that it felt like we had gone to a pumpkin farm!

Sometimes restoring yourself isn’t about slowing down or finding quiet. Sometimes it’s being surrounded by the people you love, laughing until your cheeks hurt, making memories, and realizing this is what it’s all about. 🧔

Today was good for my soul.

Have a blessed Sunday!

My Restore Yourself moment for Saturday 10.3.26

I started my morning with a half-mile walk outside.

After work, Allen and I took a ā€œSunday drive on a Saturdayā€ to look for the leaves changing. It’s something we’ve always talked about doing, but somehow never did.

We ended up finding a small, peaceful beach near the South Milwaukee Yacht Club. It was windy, but beautiful, and definitely somewhere we’ll go back to.

When I got home, Ruby gave me one more little glimmer. I took my shoes off, she rolled onto her side and put her nose right by my shoe, like she was saying, ā€œI’m glad you’re home, Mama.ā€ 🐾

Sometimes restoring yourself is simply getting outside, doing something you’ve been meaning to do, and coming home to a little love

My Restore Yourself Moment — Friday 10.2.26

Eucalyptus, eucalyptus, eucalyptus… the word of the day is EUCALYPTUS!

Now that the weather is getting cooler, I find myself reaching for eucalyptus more often. I love diffusing it because the scent feels fresh and comforting, and it always makes me think of being outdoors and breathing in that crisp, clean air.

This morning I put on a warm coat to take the dogs outside, and once again I looked up and saw the stars. Instead of rushing back inside, I sat there for a little while and simply felt grateful. Those quiet little moments are sometimes the best grounding moments.

Afterward, I took a warm bath with Epsom salt and eucalyptus — nothing fancy, just what I had on hand — and let the warmth soothe my body and tired muscles.

Then when I got to the office, I lit my sage and diffused eucalyptus, carrying that calm, fresh feeling right into my day.

Sometimes restoring yourself doesn’t have to be complicated.

My Restore Yourself Moment for Thursday 10.1.26

Welcome, October. 🧔
New month. New beginnings. New goals.
This morning was having my protein shake outside and then the sauna again to help detox this cold out and then help reflect on my grounding journey.

I’m not exactly sure what all of my goals for this month will be yet—and that’s okay. I don’t think we always need to have everything figured out on day one.

What I do know is that I want to keep following this path of consistency and continue navigating my wellness one day at a time.

For starters I want to:

* Keep moving my body every day.
* Stay mindful about getting enough protein to help maintain my muscle.
* Keep making time for things that help me feel grounded and well.
* Continue encouraging and inspiring others along the way.
* And most importantly… keep growing.

Today that looked like some fresh air, hydration, time with my furry sidekick, and a little sauna time. ā¤ļø

I don’t need October to be perfect.
I just want to keep showing up for myself. I’m proud of the job I’ve been doing.

My Restore Yourself moment for Wednesday 9.30.26 šŸ’š

Even though it was chilly, I still had my coffee outside under the pavilion. Maybe sitting out in the cool air didn’t help with this cold I’m getting, but being outside just feels good to me. There’s something about the fresh air and quiet that helps me start my day feeling a little more grounded.

Later, the sauna felt so good. Sometimes self-care doesn’t have to be complicated—it can simply be noticing what your body is asking for and giving yourself a little time to enjoy it.

I’m not exactly thrilled about getting soaked in the rain either… people are out complaining about it.

But Wisconsin people, listen — winter is coming.

So for today… be happy it’s rain.
We’ll miss it soon enough.
