More Than a Candle
There is a difference between a candle made to simply smell a room—and one created as a ritual.
At Whisper Hill, our candles are hand-poured in small batches with 100% soy wax and pure essential oils. No synthetic fragrance oils. Just thoughtfully chosen botanical aromas, blended to bring the feeling of nature into your home.
But there is something else we pour into them: intention.
We are inspired by the work of Japanese author Masaru Emoto, who became known for his experiments and photographs exploring the idea that words, music, and human intention could influence the crystalline patterns formed by frozen water. His claims remain scientifically unproven, but the philosophy behind them offers a beautiful question:
What if the energy and attention we bring to the things we make matters?
When we melt our wax, blend the essential oils, and pour each candle by hand, we approach the process with care, gratitude, and loving thoughts. We think about the home it will enter, the person who will light it, and the small moment of beauty it might create.
A mass-produced candle is made by a machine to make thousands more.
Ours is made by human hands, one small batch at a time—with plants, intention, and a little piece of Vermont.

Earth altars are sacred spaces created with flowers, seeds, stones, crystals, candles, and other natural elements. Each one carries its own symbolism and intention: to give thanks, to honor, to accompany, and to transform.
These rituals give a visible place to what we are feeling. They allow us to move through our emotions in a respectful and loving way—acknowledging our pain without becoming trapped in it and gradually transforming it into presence, gratitude, and love.
On this occasion, we gathered in loving silence to honor my father’s transition. We shared a moment of tenderness as each person offered their energy and intention to the altar.
We also created it to support my mother, surrounding her with strength, protection, and love as she continues on her path.
The candle remained lit for seven days, carrying our prayers and our love. Today marks the completion of those seven days. The flame is extinguished, but its intention remains—in the Earth, in our hearts, and in the bond that continues beyond time and space.
We are deeply grateful to Florería Mi Jardín, which has accompanied us through so many meaningful moments in our lives with the beauty and tenderness of its flowers, helping us express what the heart sometimes cannot put into words.
