✨ Who am I? What kind of massage therapist am I?
Hi, I’m Jennifer Taylor, LMT. 🤍
I grew up in Burns, Oregon, in a hardworking, blue-collar family. I was raised to show up, work hard, take care of the people around me, and keep going—even when life gets difficult.
Like many people, life has brought me seasons of loss, caregiving, raising a family, and carrying more than I thought I could at times. Those experiences have shaped who I am and the therapist I’ve become.
They taught me something I carry into my massage room every day:
You never really know what someone is carrying when they walk through your door.
I’ve been a Licensed Massage Therapist for over six years, and I also have a background as a Medical Assistant. My approach combines my knowledge of the body with something I believe is just as important—empathy.
I’m not a “no pain, no gain” deep-tissue therapist. My style is therapeutic, relaxation-focused Swedish massage with intentional work where your body needs it most.
And I also know I may not be the right massage therapist for everyone—and that’s okay.
Every therapist has different strengths, techniques, personalities and styles. I make an effort to get to know other therapists in our community and the type of work they do. If what you need isn’t what I do best, I’m happy to help point you toward someone who may be a better fit. To me, that’s part of taking care of people, too. The goal isn’t always for you to book with me. The goal is to help you find the care that’s right for you.
Being a massage therapist has also become so much more to me than the massage itself.
When you see someone regularly over the years, you get to know them. You hear about their families, jobs, celebrations, losses, stressful weeks and the good things happening in their lives. Many of my clients have become people I genuinely care about—friends, and in some ways, extended family.
That’s also why there are times when I may have to tell you that I can’t massage you that day.
I know that can be frustrating, especially when you’re hurting or have been looking forward to your appointment. But if something makes me concerned that massage may not be appropriate or safe, I’m going to put your well-being first—even if that means asking you to wait or check with your healthcare provider.
When I say “not today,” it comes from the same place as everything else I do: I care about you.
Some people come through my door because their body hurts. Some are exhausted. Some are stressed. Some spend their lives taking care of everyone else. And sometimes, you simply need an hour where nothing is expected of you.
I understand that.
My goal is for you to feel comfortable, cared for and heard—and to leave my table feeling better, not beaten up.
To me, massage isn’t just about muscles or an appointment on my schedule.
It’s about the person on my table.
That’s who I am. And that’s the kind of therapist I strive to be. 🤍

Good morning! I am overwhelmed by how many of my people want to contribute and I am so thankful. This tree is going to be so amazing! Do we have any construction or restoration companies that would like to contribute? I have reached out to some and have not heard back. I would love to highlight this as well for the new beginnings. I am also hoping to provide some kid friendly items or gift certificates as well for the camp sunrise portion of hospice care.
Thank you so much for anything that you can do to support. Please feel free to to message me if you are interested in contributing. 🩷
❤️🌲 I’m asking my amazing clients and community for a little help with something very close to my heart.
This year, I’m donating a tree to the Central Oregon Hospice Festival of Trees, and my theme is “Beauty From Ashes.”
One side of the tree will appear burned and charred, representing the devastation Oregon communities have experienced from wildfires. As the tree rotates, it will transition into a beautiful, vibrant Christmas tree—representing resilience, renewal and hope.
But there’s another meaning behind this tree that is very personal to me.
Both my dad and my grandma were cared for by hospice. Hospice couldn’t make losing them easier, but they helped make their transitions comfortable, compassionate and dignified. ❤️
My hope is to create a tree that honors both stories—the strength of a community rebuilding after devastation and the hope, love and beauty that can still exist through grief and loss.
✨ And this is where I could use your help!
I’m looking for donations to accompany the tree that represent renewal, rebuilding, comfort, self-care, new beginnings and hope. Gift certificates, experiences, home or garden items, local services, wellness gifts—or connections to a local business that may want to contribute—would all be wonderful.
I am personally contributing to the tree as well, and every donation will help us create something truly special to auction in support of hospice.
If you own a business, know someone who does, have something you’d like to contribute, or simply have a great idea, please send me a message!
I would love for this tree to become something our whole community helped bring to life.
From ashes comes growth.
From loss can come hope.
And from our community can come something beautiful. ❤️🌲🔥
Thank you for helping me make Beauty From Ashes something special.

Now it’s not just my favorite place to buy and make candles. This is so fun! Come see me for a massage and stroll on over to Fae Fire Shop and sip a coffee, w**e, or mimosa and find or make your perfect candle. Sounds like a pretty perfect day!
