Take It Off is the brainchild of couple Sarah Inloes and Ben Wilde. Ben has been tattooing since 2003 and when he met the love of his life Sarah he propositioned that she go to tattoo school to learn how to do cosmetic tattooing - she wasn’t down. Sarah knew that there were more than enough super talented cosmetic tattooers in Portland, and she knew there was another way to expand the family business that would better suit her - tattoo removal. Sarah is a Portland native and an alumni of Spectrum Advanced Esthetics school in the Portland Metro area, where she received her LE & CAE certifications (both with honors, nbd). Having surpassed the required treatments for all state standards while also freelancing during her advanced training, Sarah has the hands you want to touch your face or remove your tattoo! Kortnie is a licensed Certified Advanced Esthetician who graduated from Marinello School of Beauty in northern California in 2014 and took a loving to tattoo removal! In her off time, she loves hiking, watching football, w**e tasting, and taking her puppy, Kiya, to the beach! Sarah and Kortnie work closely with Ben and Pink Panther Tattoo along with other local tattoo parlors to help execute coverup tattoo projects - lightening existing tattoos to make that coverup exactly what you want not just what can work.

Stick and pokes! Most stick and pokes are pretty easy to remove, often within 1-2 sessions, there are some caveats though - stay tuned for a video talking all about stick and pokes soon 👀

A little behind the scenes of what a tattoo removal session looks like! After a certain point of treatments we aren’t looking for “frosting” but rather edema (swelling) and erythema (redness). This client is going to be traveling for a coverup later this year and should be ready after this sesh!

What is the popping sound I’m hearing during laser removal? This audible “snap” is caused by a photoacoustic effect. When the laser fires, it delivers incredibly fast pulses of high-intensity light that are absorbed by the tattoo pigment. This energy heats the ink so rapidly that the particles shatter on a microscopic level, creating tiny shockwaves and localized pressure changes in the skin that we hear as a “snap”! Cool huh?
