Hi, I’m Laurel. 🤍

It’s been a while since I’ve introduced myself around here, not just as the owner of Lavender, but as the person behind it.

I opened Salon Lavender in 2018 with an idea of creating a salon that felt a little different. A space that was thoughtful, welcoming, creative, and conscious of the products we use and the environment we create for both our clients and our team.

Eight years later, Lavender has grown and changed in ways I never could have completely planned for. And so have I.

These days, I spend my time somewhere between being behind the chair, mentoring our stylists, running the business, dreaming up what comes next, and being a mom outside of these walls. There are a lot of hats, and admittedly, I’m still learning how to wear all of them without trying to do everything at once.

Hair has been such a huge part of my life, but what I love most about this work has always been the people. The relationships built over years of appointments. Watching clients move through different seasons of their lives. Helping newer stylists find their confidence and their own place in this industry. Creating a salon that people genuinely want to come back to.

Lavender is still evolving. I am too.

And after eight years, I think I’m more excited about what this little salon can become than I was when I first opened the doors.

Today we’re celebrating Malina Foss one year anniversary at Salon Lavender!

Over the past year, we’ve loved watching her grow as a stylist and become such an important part of our team. Her kind heart, attention to detail, and beautiful lived-in color make every guest feel right at home.

Malina, thank you for all of your hard work and for the care you bring to our salon each day. We’re so grateful to have you and can’t wait to see what this next year brings.

Surrounded by plants, clean air, and a welcoming team, Salon Lavender was created to be more than just a place to get your hair done. This year, together, we made a real impact 🌿

Through our partnership with , Salon Lavender helped keep 254.5 pounds of beauty waste out of landfills and waterways in 2025.

That includes:
• 218.5 lbs of solid waste
• 36.0 lbs of liquid waste

And collectively, Green Circle salons diverted over 1.1 million pounds of waste this year.

Every color, every service, every visit adds up to something bigger than just great hair. It’s about caring for our community, our environment, and the future we’re all part of.

What started as a vision has grown into something so much bigger than we ever imagined. Over the past 8 years, we have built more than a salon. We have built a space for connection, creativity, and care.

To our incredible team, past and present, thank you for bringing your artistry, heart, and energy into these walls every single day. You are what make Lavender what it is.

To our clients and community, thank you for trusting us, supporting us, and growing alongside us. We wouldn’t be here without you.

Every appointment, every conversation, every transformation has been a part of this journey.

Spring is a reset.

The equinox marks a moment of balance, equal light, equal dark, and from here everything begins to grow again.

Our hair follows its own natural cycle of rest, shed, and renewal. After the slower months of winter it is common to notice more movement, new growth coming in, old strands releasing, a subtle shift in texture and energy.

This is the season to support that transition.
To nourish the scalp.
To refresh your shape.
To let go of what has been sitting heavy.

Growth does not have to be dramatic to be meaningful. Sometimes it looks like a small change, a softer edge, a little more light.

We are here for all of it.
