😂 WHEN YOUR BRAIN STARTS NEGOTIATING…

You're halfway through your workout:

💪 Curls
🏋️ Shoulder press
🦵 Reverse lunges

And suddenly your brain goes:

"Why is this so hard today?"
"Maybe I should just leave..."
"Nobody would even know..." 👀

Meanwhile, your trainer is already watching from across the gym like:

"ABSOLUTELY NOT." 🏃‍♀️💨😂

Some days the hardest part of training isn't the workout—it's convincing yourself to keep going when you don't feel like it.

That's one of the benefits of having a trainer: accountability when your motivation starts looking for the exit.

👉 Keep showing up. Your future self will thank you!

🥩😂 TRAINER TIP: YOU NEED MORE PROTEIN!

Consider this your official protein peer pressure from Coach Tracy. 😏💪

Protein plays a major role in muscle repair, recovery, and building and maintaining lean muscle—but a lot of people simply aren't eating enough of it.

When Coach Tracy works with clients on nutrition goals, she often uses around 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight as a starting point, depending on the individual and their goals. If you're consistently struggling to even reach 100g per day, your nutrition may be one of the things slowing down your progress.

The good news? Getting more protein doesn't have to be complicated.

🥩 Meat: 4–6 oz can provide roughly 25–40g of protein depending on the source.
🥚 Eggs: About 6–7g of protein per large egg.
🍳 Egg Whites: A convenient way to add more protein without adding as much fat.
🥤 Protein Shakes: Many provide around 25–30g per serving and make hitting your daily target much easier.

Your workouts matter—but nutrition supports the work you're putting in at the gym.

👉 Need help figuring out how to get more protein into your day? Come talk to Coach Tracy! She can help you find options you actually enjoy.

💪 TRAINER TIP: WHY ACCOUNTABILITY WORKS

Ever notice that you're a little more likely to push yourself when someone else is watching? That's accountability at work.

Having someone check in with you can create momentum, consistency, and commitment. Regular check-ins help keep your goals visible, give you someone to answer to, and allow you to make adjustments along the way instead of getting stuck.

And that's one of the biggest benefits of working with a personal trainer. You're not just paying for someone to count your reps—you have an expert in your corner helping educate you, track your progress, adjust your plan, and keep you accountable.

All our coaches are here to help you stay consistent and keep moving toward your goals. 👊

💪 Recovery Is Part of the Work

Want to build muscle, perform better, and stay consistent in the gym? Recovery matters just as much as your workouts.

If you’re constantly tired, sore, and running on empty, eventually your motivation is going to disappear. Your body—and your mind—need time to recover so you can come back stronger and ready to put in the work.

Recovery means more than just taking a day off. It includes:

😴 Proper rest & quality sleep
🥗 Fueling your body with the right nutrition
💧 Staying hydrated
🛌 Taking rest days when your body needs them

When you recover well, you’ll have more energy, better performance, and a much better chance of staying consistent long-term.

So ask yourself: Do I need to push harder, or do I need to recover smarter?

And if you’re not sure what your body needs, come ask Coach Ellie! She can help you figure out how to train, recover, and keep moving toward your goals. 🙌

💤 Let’s Talk About Sleep

One of the things Coach Tracy loves most about her job is getting to motivate clients, celebrate their wins, hold them accountable, and—most importantly—educate them.

There’s so much more to reaching your goals than just what happens inside the gym. Recovery, hormones, energy levels, nutrition, and sleep all play a role.

So today, let’s talk about SLEEP.

Most adults need around 7–8 hours of quality sleep each night. When we consistently fall short, it can affect much more than just how tired we feel.

Here are 3 things to pay attention to:

🍽️ Leptin – Helps signal that you’re full and satisfied. Poor sleep can disrupt leptin levels, making it harder to recognize when you’ve had enough to eat.

🍔 Ghrelin – Helps regulate hunger. When sleep is lacking, ghrelin can increase, which may leave you feeling hungrier and make nutrition choices more difficult.

⚡ Cortisol – Often called the “stress hormone.” Cortisol is important and naturally rises during exercise and other stressful situations. But consistently elevated stress and poor recovery can contribute to increased hunger, fatigue, and difficulty recovering from training.

The takeaway?

Poor sleep can make reaching your goals harder. 😴

Before you blame your motivation, your metabolism, or your willpower, take a look at your recovery. Sometimes the biggest change you need isn’t another workout—it’s getting better sleep.

That’s what personal training is about: helping you understand the WHY behind what you’re doing.

💡 Flexibility vs. Mobility: What’s the Difference?

They’re often used interchangeably, but flexibility and mobility are actually two different things!

🧘 Flexibility is your muscles’ ability to relax and lengthen, allowing you to passively stretch through a range of motion.

💪 Mobility is your ability to actively move a joint through its range of motion with control and strength.

Both are important for moving well, improving your workouts, and staying active!

Whether you need help improving your flexibility, mobility, or both, come meet with Coach Bri and let her help you move better! 🙌

😤 3 Things That Drive Trainers Crazy!

Coach Kaylee is calling out a few simple gym habits that can make a BIG difference for everyone sharing the gym:

🏋️ 1. Not Re-Racking Your Weights
If you can lift it, you can put it back! Leave the equipment ready for the next person.

🧼 2. Not Wiping Down Equipment
Nobody wants to inherit your workout sweat. 😅 Take a few seconds to clean the equipment when you're finished.

📋 3. Coming In Without a Plan
Wandering around wondering what to do next can make it harder to stay consistent and reach your goals. Having a plan keeps you focused and progressing.

Remember, gym etiquette is about being courteous to the people around you. Take care of the equipment, clean up after yourself, and leave the gym a little better than you found it.

And if you're tired of guessing your way through your workouts, having a trainer can help you build a plan and work toward the results you've been chasing for years.

👉 Come see Coach Kaylee and let's get you on the right track!
