i keep seeing “try UV/LED lashes!!” underneath videos of clients saying they’ve developed a “lash allergy”… so let’s talk about WHY people are recommending them. 👀💡
light curing isn’t a magic allergy cure, but for some sensitive clients, it can make a BIG difference. 🤍
i’m actually one of those clients!! 🙋🏻♀️ traditional lash extensions became increasingly uncomfortable for me, and switching to light curing + a more sensitive-friendly adhesive completely changed my experience getting lashes. 🥹
so if you thought developing a “lash allergy” automatically meant you could never wear extensions again… there may be another option worth learning about. 💡🤍

being a light cure educator means i can’t stay in my little floor lamp bubble forever 😂💡
there are so many different ways artists are light curing now, and i want firsthand experience with as many of them as possible so i can actually speak on the pros, cons + differences.
soooo… i'm trying a tweezer light!! 👀 wish me luck lol and if you have any pointers for me drop em in the comments 🤭

team saline for the winnnnnn and here’s why:
💧 0.9% saline is isotonic with our tears, meaning it has a similar salt concentration and is much more compatible with the ocular surface than distilled water.
🦠 sterile saline comes… sterile. when kept in its original container and used properly, i’m not repeatedly filling, touching + storing a rinse bottle that can become contaminated over time.
👁️ it’s perfect for thoroughly rinsing away lash cleanser and for a final rinse after application to flush the lash line of any residual irritants before those eyes open. because nobody wants that immediate burning + stinging sensation. 💅🏻
and NO, saline isn’t going to ruin your retention!!!!!!!!!!😂 the sodium chloride in saline isn’t leaving behind some problematic layer of “mineral deposits” that prevents your adhesive from bonding to the natural lash. we’re rinsing with it.... not marinating the lashes in salt water. lol
clean lashes + saline = happy eyes. that’s the vibe round here. 🤪
i’m never here to be the lash police 😂 but if there’s an opportunity to talk about healthier lash practices, you know i’m gonna take it. ✨
