I always try to educate my patients that bruising is expected and normal! However there is a false notion that it reflects the quality of the injector.

Bruising during tox or filler can occur due to:
• Blood-thinning medications/supplements may make bruising easier (aspirin, fish oil, ibuprofen, etc)
• Alcohol before or shortly after treatment can increase bruising
• Exercise/heat soon after treatment may increase blood flow and make bruising more noticeable
• Some people naturally bruise more easily than others

Our faces are extremely vascular and rich with blood supply! Ice & arnica will be your best friend afterward and don’t get discouraged bc it is so common 💋
