🎯 What part of your health deserves a more targeted approach? 🎯
Through our Quiessence Signature Experiences, we take pride in discovering what matters to you—where you are now, what you want to improve, and what may be standing between you and the way you want to feel, move and live.
Then we get intentional.
We help you identify what matters to your health, make thoughtful adjustments, and keep moving toward the life you want to live.

🌟 Invest in Children. Strengthen Our Community. 🌟
We're seeking sponsors for The Not Gala, Berkshire County Head Start's annual fundraiser supporting early childhood education, family services, health screenings, school readiness, and more for local children and families.
Today, Head Start programs are facing uncertainty as federal policymakers consider changes that could significantly reduce services available to children and families. While we await decisions about these potential changes, one thing is clear: our community's children need us now more than ever.
That's why local support is so important.
When you sponsor The Not Gala, you're helping ensure that Berkshire County children continue to have access to safe learning environments, nutritious meals, developmental supports, family resources, and the opportunities they need to succeed in school and life.
Together, we can help fill the gaps and keep critical services available for the families who depend on them.
❤️ Join us as a sponsor and help invest in the future of Berkshire County.

**The Excuses we make for putting ourselves last**:
**You schedule everything else. Put yourself on the calendar, too. 🎀**
Work. Meetings. Hair appointments. Vacations. The dentist. Everybody else’s appointments…
Meanwhile, that mammogram reminder has been sitting in MyChart giving you the side-eye. 👀
Consider this your friendly reminder from a physician who has sat on **the patient side** of the breast cancer conversation:
🎈 **Schedule the mammogram.** 🎈
Early detection matters—and being busy is not a reason to keep moving yourself to the bottom of your own list.
At Quiessence, that’s part of what we mean when we talk about wellness: not just responding when your body demands your attention, but making space to care for it along the way.
🎀 **Your turn: What health appointment have you been meaning to schedule?**
Go make the appointment 📅—then come back and tell me **DONE.** 👇🏽

As a woman, a physician, and a 12-year cancer survivor, I’d be remiss if I let October pass without saying this:
Pay attention to your breasts. 🎀
Know what’s normal for you.
Don’t ignore a change.
And please… get those mammos grammed. 🙃
In all seriousness, I was fortunate. I’m here 12 years later, healthy, thriving, and able to talk about breast cancer from the other side of it.
But survivorship taught me something that has stayed with me: I don’t want to wait until my body is in crisis to start caring for it.
That idea shows up every day at Quiessence.
We think about wellness proactively—supporting movement, recovery, nutrition, skin health and the things that help us continue showing up well in our lives.
So here’s your October nudge: if that mammogram is sitting somewhere on your mental to-do list, move it to the real one. 🎀
And if you’ve already gotten yours this year, drop a 💗 below. 👇🏽

This October, I’m sharing more than breast cancer awareness reminders.
I’m opening up about the experience that changed how I think about health, medicine, and the work I do at Quiessence.
The story behind this space began with a turning point in my own life—and a question I first asked myself 12 years ago: “How can I change my micro environment to turn off the BRCA gene?”🧬…
I can’t state that I found THE answer per se, but what I learned made me rethink my role as a healthcare provider.
Now I ask:🤔
What could wellness care look like if we didn’t wait for disease to show up to act?…
I’ll share more of that story throughout this series.
Follow along—and tell me: 👇🏽
if you didn’t wait for something to go wrong, what would you do differently for your health today?

I found the sweetest book, I just couldn’t leave behind…
The Little Ghost Who Was a Quilt, and suddenly I was thinking about quilts—not just the finished products, but everything that went into making them. The fabric that caught my eye. The person I had in mind. The memories tucked into each piece.
Looking through these photos, I can remember the stories behind the quilts as clearly as the quilts themselves.
I think that’s part of why I love creating experiences, too: bringing together the right details so people leave with a story of their own. 💚

Amen
Stop postponing the parts of life that make you feel alive. Someday has taken enough.
Share and save this for the woman who keeps putting herself last.

MORNING THOUGHTS FROM MEADOW RIDGE | QUIESSENCE MEDSPA
Sometimes the detour is divine protection.
Building Quiessence has taught me a lesson I didn’t necessarily want to learn: not every obstacle is meant to be conquered.
I lost three potential locations. I invested in expensive consultants who had a vision for my business—but it wasn’t always my vision. And for a while, every closed door felt like something standing between me and where I was supposed to be.
So I did what most of us do.
I tried harder.
I looked for another door.
I tried to make the plan work.
And then I learned to pivot. And wait.
I stopped believing that Quiessence had to look like everyone else’s medspa. I built a lower-overhead mobile model around a vehicle I already owned. I took the pieces of professional advice that genuinely served the vision and learned to treat the rest as exactly what it was: advice, not a mandate.
Recently, my pastor said something that hit me hard:
“You keep asking God to change your circumstances when He’s trying to change your capacity.”
And somewhere along the way, I thought about Balaam’s donkey in Numbers 22:21–33.
Balaam couldn’t understand why the animal that had carried him faithfully suddenly wouldn’t go where he wanted it to go. He pushed. He became frustrated. He struck the donkey.
What Balaam couldn’t see was what the donkey could:
An angel of the Lord was standing in the road.
That story hits differently when you’ve lived through a few closed doors.
Maybe the path I’m meant to take isn’t the path the donkey normally travels.
Maybe every delay isn’t a denial.
Maybe every roadblock isn’t opposition.
Maybe sometimes we’re fighting desperately to get through a door that God, in His mercy, is refusing to let us enter.
I still have plans. I still work toward them. I still pivot when I need to.
But I’m learning not to fight every closed road.
So the next time something you were sure was supposed to work…doesn’t, perhaps before asking, “Why is this happening to me?”
try:
Bow down and say
“Thank You, Lord. You can see what I cannot. You know the plans You have for my life.”
Trust the pause. There is purpose.
