August is Hair Loss Awareness Month 💚
As we close out the month, I want to remind you that everyone sheds. Some of us more than others, but shedding in itself is normal.
Hair loss is an emotional loss. Curlies like us tend to see our hair as our identity. Our curls are who we are. Watching them disappear down the drain is A LOT.
✔︎ If you think there's a diagnosis to be made, please speak to your doctor.
✔︎ If you find yourself shedding more than usual, speak to your stylist.
✔︎ If your hair is thinning, speak to your stylist.
✔︎ There are things we can do to slow excess shedding, and there are things to do and changes to make if your hair loss is expected to be temporary.
✔︎ It's all about loving the scalp so it can repair. It's about using gentle, safe cleansers and conditioners and treatments to revitalize your scalp and keep hair healthy.

We won our right to vote in 1920, but women still:
👎 Make roughly 20cents an hour less than men, on average.
👎 Pay more for healthcare.
👎 Are having rights taken away and challenged that men don't have to think twice about.
What can we, as women, and as people who love and respect women, do?
👍 Continue to support women, their voices, opinions and rights.
👍 Support women-owned businesses, artists, crafters and creators.
👍 Help the women in your life, of all ages, register to vote, and/or check their voting status.
