Skincare for Smart Women that Works. Hair Growth Customized Serums and Medications from a Legitscript Certified Pharmacy.

08/21/2026

Hello, I’m Melanie 64-year-old Founder of Ulurx. I was tired of being dismissed by the beauty industry and opened this hair growth and skin care Pharmacy for men and women over 50 and 60 who still want to look and feel their best. No facelift no fillers, yes, a little B—t-x because I have a Tourette’s twitch, oddly enough exactly what B—t-x was designed to prevent, but otherwise this is 64-year-old Skin using collagen building products. If you’re over 50 or you just want better skin and haven’t looked at copper peptides yet, this is your sign to get started. Copper peptides support elastin and collagen production, help smooth and firm, and belong on your neck and décolleté, not just your face. Ours are encapsulated in a pharmaceutical grade nano-liposomal cream for better delivery. The blue is real. Comment COPPER for details.

Do you have to microneedle with a hair growth serum? No. I don’t, and I own the pharmacy that makes mine.

Those needles are longer than people realize. Go too deep and you’re risking infection and damage to the follicle you’re trying to save. And if your hair is long, you’re dragging needles across strands you already grew — that’s a puncture, and it pulls hair out. Add keeping a roller sterile between every session and the scalp irritation, and I’d rather skip it.

The second half of that question was smart: yes, check before starting anything new. Interactions are less likely with topicals than with something you swallow, but less likely isn’t never. Your doctor diagnoses. Your pharmacist is the one who checks what your medication list does together.

Three hair growth mistakes you think are helping your hair.
1. Tight extensions, weaves, toppers and wigs. All day, every day, something is pulling on your follicles. Wear them looser, and give your scalp what the tension took away — blood flow. Scalp massage plus a stimulating serum.
2. Oil sitting on your scalp indefinitely. On dry strands, fine. Left on the scalp for days, it causes problems you don’t want.
3. Brushing wet hair. Wet hair stretches and snaps. Wide-tooth comb, gently, from the ends up.

YOUR RETINOL MAY NOT BE BUILDING THE COLLAGEN YOU THINK IT IS 👀

Did anyone tell you this: Over-the-counter retinol has to be converted by your skin before it can build collagen. That is why that conversion matters.

Want serious anti-aging skin care, collagen support, smoother texture and younger-looking skin - then it’s time to understand what’s actually in your routine.

Hair growth treatment doesn’t cure hair loss. It outruns it.

Someone commented that nobody tells you your hair falls out when you stop. She’s right, and it’s not the gotcha it sounds like. You started treatment because you were already losing hair. Stop the treatment and you go back to where you started — the same way you don’t keep the results after you quit the gym. Nothing was taken from you. You just stopped outrunning it. Comment “Hair quiz” and I’ll send you your personal plan.

Stranded forever with one anti-aging skincare product. Most people pick wrong.

One product. Rest of your life. No restocking, no backups, no 12-step routine to hide behind.

Everyone assumes good genes. It wasn’t genes.

I built collagen the boring way — consistently, for years, using only things with real independent research behind them. Not a 30-person study funded by the brand selling it. Randomized. Controlled. Published.

One exception, and I’ll say it out loud: a little neuromodulator for a twitch. Nothing else.

Skincare over 60 isn’t about the newest jar on the shelf. It’s about choosing things that may help support your skin’s own collagen — and then not quitting in week three.

Propylene glycol is in nearly every hair growth serum on the market. It’s inexpensive, it’s easy to work with, and it’s why your scalp feels slick a few hours after you apply. Almost nobody takes it out, because taking it out means formulating an entire base from scratch.

That’s what we did. We built our own base without it. Then we went further — the base is matched to your scalp type. Dry, normal, or oily. Three separate formulations, because those three scalps shouldn’t be getting the same vehicle.

If you’ve been treating hair loss and quietly hating how your roots feel by lunchtime, it was never the medicine. It was the base.

STOP THESE SCALP MISTAKES IF YOU’RE LOSING HAIR

Hair loss and hair thinning aren’t just about what you put on your scalp—how you treat it matters. Harsh shampoos, aggressive scrubbing, scratching and picking can work against a healthy scalp. Watch this video to spot the bad scalp habits that may be hurting your hair growth goals.

WOMEN OVER 40: WHY ARE YOUR ARMS SUDDENLY CREPEY?

Crepey skin on your arms, elbows, knees or thighs after 40? As skin ages, it becomes thinner and collagen declines, making that wrinkled, crepey texture more noticeable. CrepeRx is a prescription-strength treatment designed to support collagen remodeling and improve the appearance of aging, crepey skin.
