Everyone kept telling me I was brave. I was strong. I “had this.” 🦋
What no one told me is that the hardest part wasn’t the chemo, the port, or losing my hair.
It was after.
When the appointments slowed down and I was supposed to just go back to normal, except my body didn’t feel like mine anymore.
My mind was playing games I wasn’t prepared for.
And nobody hands you a manual for that part.
That’s when I started paying attention.
Really listening. Reassessing everything, my stress, my diet, the way I moved through the world.
My body had been talking to me the whole time. I just hadn’t learned the language yet.
That listening is what became Lymph Rehab. Not because I set out to build a nonprofit,
but because I couldn’t unlearn what my body taught me, and I couldn’t keep it to myself once I knew it.
If you’ve ever felt disconnected from your own body, this is your reminder that it’s not too late to start listening. 💚
Nobody tells you scar tissue can mess with your lymph flow 🦋
I work with scars and the lymphatic system together, and this is exactly why.
A scar isn’t just skin deep. It can pull on the tissue layers underneath, and those layers are exactly where your lymphatic system lives.
That connection is what most people never hear about, until something isn’t moving the way it should.

THIS IS WHY. THRIVER STORY 01
Last year at Brunch with a Purpose, four women shared what it meant to come through the THRIVER Program.
Today, I want you to meet Nikki
As someone who has walked this journey myself, I know how much it can mean to have someone say, you don’t have to navigate this alone.
That is why I created the THRIVER Program.
To create access to lymphatic care, education, and support for women navigating life after breast cancer.
Nikki shared her story with us last year, and since then, nearly
35 more women have come through the program.
Every woman has her own story.
But together, they remind me why this work matters so much.
This is our why. 🤍
And this is why we gather for Brunch with a Purpose.
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing the stories of the other women who stood beside us last year.
Sept 20 🎟️ tickets in bio to support he next flow of women 🎀

Your session starts before you ever walk in. 🦋
The table is cleaned.
The sheets are set. The music is chosen.
All before you arrive, so the moment you lay down, your body already knows it’s safe.
That’s what lets it actually receive the work. Lymph doesn’t flow on command.
It flows when the nervous system feels safe enough to let go.
This is the part no one sees.
But it’s the whole reason the session works.
Come feel it for yourself. 💚

It was because of Stage 3 Breast Cancer
After surgery I started feeling these weird tingles and sensations on the right side of my arm.
And again, I almost brushed it off as just recovery. Just a changed body.
Just something I had to accept.
But this time I didn’t.
I leaned in instead. I listened.
That decision is the reason my lymphedema was caught early.
It’s manageable now.
ANNOYING, but manageable.
The biggest lesson cancer taught me wasn’t about survival.
It was about advocating for myself.
Speaking up when something feels off, even when I can’t explain why.
The day the sun and I sync up
Nine years ago I sat on this couch with chemo running through my veins and my daughter’s tiny hand pressed into mine.
She was 4.
Look at my nails in this photo.
If you’ve been through chemo, you know 🙏
The color changes, the ridges, the brittleness, wondering if they’re even going to hold on.
That, along with losing my hair, was one of the first signs that my body was no longer fully mine, that chemo was rewriting things I never agreed to.
I knew the double mastectomy was coming.
I knew they’d remove lymph nodes, but not 4.
I knew radiation was part of the plan.
What I didn’t know was what all of it would actually do to my body long term.
That it would change permanently, in ways no one prepared me for.
And I definitely didn’t know what a lymphatic system even was, let alone that mine would need care for the rest of my life.
Nobody handed me a roadmap for what came after treatment ended.
I had to build my own.
51 women since 2024. 51 women who finished treatment and needed somewhere to go next, just like I did.
Someone to help their bodies heal.
Someone to hand them what nobody handed me.
Watching that number grow every single year is everything.
But July stopped me in my tracks.
13 appointments in one month alone.
This is what fills my soul.
This is my purpose.
This is why Lymph Rehab exists 💚
This event is for you.
For the community.
For anyone who believes care shouldn’t stop when treatment does.
Here’s what actually has me lit up.
It’s not the brunch, the panel, or the auction (okay, a little bit the auction).
It’s why we’re coming together at all.
September 20 is also the day, 9 years ago, my stage 3 tumor was removed.
This event fundraises for that exact moment, for survivors who finish treatment and get handed nothing.
No roadmap for a body that’s changed.
So while we raise the funds,
we also celebrate with bubbles, slow down with breath, and nourish our bodies with food from Original ChopShop
A community that heals together, raises awareness together, and raises funds together.
Tickets are up. 🔗 in BIO
Come sit with us on September 20 🦋
🦋Your lymphatic system is a one way highway 💚
Breath. Movement. Water.
The holy trinity that keeps that highway flowing.
All three things you already have access to, every single day, anytime, anywhere.
This is the style of breathing I use in every session I do.
I love it because you can actually feel it working.
Your organs compressing, getting pumped, activated.
You feel the benefits in the moment, not somewhere down the road.
And here’s the two for one nobody talks about.
While you’re moving lymph, you’re also resetting your nervous system.
Same breath, double the benefit.
Who doesn’t love a two for one 😌
So breathe with me in this video.
Feel what I mean.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard this story 🦋
Someone searching for months, sometimes years, trying to figure out why their body feels different
why the swelling won’t go down,
why no one has given them real answers
appointment after appointment,
and still nothing that actually explains what’s happening.
Then there’s this pause.
Maybe it’s a quiet prayer,
maybe it’s just asking the universe for a sign, something, anything, to point them in the right direction.
And they search one more time.
That’s when they find Lymph Rehab. 💚
If that’s you right now, I see you.
You’re not behind, you’re not overreacting, and you’re definitely not alone. Come find us.
