Respectfully… your nail tech is NOT bullsh*tting you. (I can’t speak for all techs bc there’s definitely some out there playing games, but for the most part, a real nail tech is gonna be honest with you!)

You cannot wear enhancements for 7 weeks, have a curved/thin natural nail, ignore maintenance, and then be shocked when your nails aren’t looking like the inspo anymore.

Your nail anatomy matters.
Your growth matters.
Your length matters.
Your lifestyle matters.
Your nail health matters.

So when your tech says “that shape won’t work exactly like the picture,” “you need to come back sooner,” or “we need to shorten these” — it’s not automatically a money grab. Sometimes we’re even losing money by doing a simpler, shorter set.

Sometimes the answer you WANT ≠ the answer that’s appropriate for YOUR nails.

And honestly? I’d be more concerned about a tech who tells every client “yes” without considering their natural nails at all.

Your nails are not one-size-fits-all.

If your nail tech does foreign fills, whether it’s to speed up the process or do a quicker/cheaper service, they hate you. Well, maybe not hate you but they definitely don’t respect you or your money as much as you should.

Your money has value. Your nails deserve proper safe treatment. And we’re not trying to steal your money, we generally hate having to do removals! It takes so much more time and effort than any of us want to go through!
