How often should you REALLY moisturize protective styles? 👀

Most people wait until their hair feels dry… but by then, your hair is already begging for help. 🚩

Protective styles are meant to RETAIN moisture not replace your hair care routine. Whether you wear braids, twists, wigs, or loc styles, your real hair still needs hydration to stay soft, healthy, and growing underneath.

👑General rule:
• Every 2–3 days for dry/high porosity hair
• 1–2x a week for low porosity hair
• More often if you sweat a lot, work out, or spend time in the sun

But here’s what most people miss:
Moisture without sealing = dryness coming right back.
