I want to step into the second half of my life with energy and hope. Let's learn and become healthier and stronger together! I have spent the last 15 years focused on my husband, children, and aging parents. My health has suffered at the hands of drive through, evening TV time, and middle-age energy loss. This is the time that I need to turn my energy to myself so that I can be my best self and the healthy woman that my husband and children really need. I have watched first hand, the toll that being overweight has taken on the health of those I love as they age. I am an older mom and I feel driven to stop this cycle of unhealthy aging so that my children aren't faced with watching me decline instead of becoming better with age. I have been an plus sized woman for nearly two decades. I have been surrounded by loving and supportive family and I learned to love myself in spite of my weight, but I've recently realized that to really love myself I need to turn my focus from my weight to my health. This page will be dedicated to sharing my journey from unfit and obese to fit and healthy. It is a daunting task to undertake when you know that you have half a person to lose on your way to fit, but it is a journey that I must take.
