- Avoid excessive sweating before your appointment
- If you workout the day of, make sure to have a soapy shower before your appointment to remove any sweat and deodorant off the body
- Avoid sweating right after your appointment and wait until your recommended rinse time for your first shower
- Wait at least 12 to 24 hours before working out/ sweating heavily after your appointment
- TIP: moisturize morning and night, paying extra attention to high-friction zones and dry spots, including your elbows, knees, ankles, and armpits, where gym clothes rub the most

Exfoliating is an essential step in your prep to achieve an even, long lasting tan. It helps remove dead, dry skin from the surface, leaving your skin feeling smoother and creating a more even canvas for your tan.

A few things to remember:

- Exfoliate your skin 24 hours before your spray tan appointment.
- Pay extra attention to dry areas like elbows, knees, ankles, and hands, and any areas with leftover tan.
- After exfoliating, avoid lotions and oils (you will feel really dry, thats okay!)
- The key is to keep it gentle. Exfoliation should never leave your skin red, sore, or irritated.

Jewelry can create little areas where the solution doesn’t apply evenly, and spray tan solution can also build up around tight rings, bracelets, necklaces, and watches. For the most even, flawless tan:

• Remove all jewelry before your appointment
• Place your jewelry in the ceramic dish in our spray room and don't forget it after your appointment
• Put it back on once your tan is fully developed and you’ve rinsed

If you can't take it off, don't worry - we do our best to work around the pieces!

Fresh manicures and pedicures often involve oils, lotions, scrubs, and soaking—all things that can either create a barrier or interrupt your even, flawless tan.

We recommend getting your nails done 24-hours BEFORE your spray tan appointment. If you have to go after, we suggest waiting until your tan is fully developed (after 24-hours and you've had your first soapy rinse) and skipping the scrubs!!
