How many products did you put on your body this morning?

Cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen, deodorant, maybe a serum. Shampoo, conditioner, lip balm. For most of us that's north of 100 distinct ingredients before breakfast.

Every one of them was declared "safe" by a test that looked at it alone. Not next to the other 99. Not applied again tomorrow. Not thirty years in.

That's the equation the label never shows you:
