What we did:

✨ Wove in highlights and a dark lowlight to blend the gray into the rest of her hair

✨ Toned from golden to a soft, ashy blonde

✨ Took two inches off the ends for a fresh, healthy finish

Meet my son Chase! He asked for a modern mullet, and he made sure I did it right. He even approved the video. 👍🎶

What's a modern mullet? It's the classic mullet reimagined. Instead of a harsh, choppy contrast, the sides are cut short and blended smoothly down into a longer, softer back. The result is a clean, textured shape that looks intentional and wearable.

What we did:

✂️ Took the sides in close and blended them down into the back
✂️ Cleaned up the back and neckline
✂️ Kept the sides short and the back longer for that mullet shape
✂️ Trimmed about an inch off the top
✂️ Blended and texturized the top to bring out more curl and take away the heaviness
