Centella asiatica, (cica) also known as gotu kola, is an herb native to parts of Southeast Asia and has been used medicinally for centuries upon centuries.

It has active compounds that serve as antioxidants, is a rich source of amino acids, and is known to have excellent hydrating effects to soothe irritated skin. Cica creams became cornerstones of the famous K-beauty ritual because of their alleged soothing benefits.

Fun fact: Cica is also called Tiger Grass because tigers are known to rub it on their skin to help heal a wound.
