Today is August 6th, which means Braids & More by Madison officially turns 6 years old today!💗

Six years ago, I never could have imagined that a hobby I started would grow into something that has become such a huge part of my life. What started with a few braids would grow into something that has brought me so much joy, so many incredible opportunities and the chance to meet hundreds of amazing people.

Over the last six years, I’ve had the opportunity to braid more than 1,500 heads of hair, celebrate with families at over 300 birthday parties, grow an amazing team, and partner with incredible businesses. Every braid, every conversation, every recommendation and every smiling face has helped shape Braids & More by Madison into what it is today. Watching this little dream grow year after year has been one of the greatest blessings!

To every client who has trusted me with your hair, every parent who has invited me to be part of a special day, every friend and family member who has cheered me on and everyone who has supported my small business in any way, thank you. Your encouragement, referrals, kind messages, and support have meant more to me than you’ll ever know. I truly wouldn’t be here without all of you.

Today is also a bittersweet day because it’s my last day in Omaha before I move back to Lincoln tomorrow for another school year at UNL! I’m so excited to continue growing my business in Lincoln. I’ll still be making trips back to Omaha about once a month for appointments whenever I can, but if you’re in the Lincoln area and have been thinking about booking, I’d love to braid for you! The last six years have taught me so much. Not just about running a business, but about confidence, hard work, and chasing dreams. It’s been the greatest joy to watch this little business grow alongside me. I can’t wait to see where Braids & More by Madison continues to grow and I can’t wait to continue meeting new clients and keep doing what I love.

I’m so excited to be popping up at the Heartwood Preserve Friday Night Beats & Bites Market this Friday from 5:00–8:30 PM! I’ll have my tent set up offering braids, colored extensions and hair tinsel, and I’d love to see everyone there!

Make sure to come early! I braid on a first come, first served basis, so you can get in line as soon as you arrive. While you wait, the kids can have a blast at the free activity bar right by my tent! Borrow games and toys like co****le, hula hoops, balls, and more to keep everyone entertained until it’s your turn.

Listen to the live music, grab dinner from one of the delicious food trucks, shop the local vendors, and let the kids play while you enjoy a fun Friday night. I can’t wait to see you there!

What a fun way to celebrate the Fourth of July! 🇺🇸❤️💙 Another year of red, white and blue braids is officially in the books, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

A huge thank you to everyone who booked an appointment and trusted me with your holiday hair this week. It was such a fun whirlwind of a few days, filled with festive braids, colorful extensions and the opportunity to catch up with so many returning clients while also meeting lots of new faces along the way. In just 48 hours, I braided in 28 sets of extensions, making for one very busy (but incredibly fun) holiday week!

Thank you all for keeping me so busy and supporting my small business. I look forward to this tradition every year, and I already can’t wait to do it all again next Fourth of July!

We had the best time helping the dancers get stage ready for Core Dance Company’s recital yesterday! This was our third year braiding for recital day, and it continues to be one of our favorite events of the year! We love being a small part of such a special day and getting to see all the excitement as the dancers prepare to take the stage. Between the three of us (Paige, Ella, and myself) we braided 51 dancers throughout the day! A huge thank you to Core Dance Company for having us back again. We can’t wait to do it all over again next year! 🩰✨

Hey everyone! Life has been busy and it’s been a minute since I’ve posted on here, so here’s a little life + braid recap :)

I am just wrapping up my freshman year at UNL and it has been amazing! I was busy balancing a double major, being involved in Chi Omega, getting to be part of Dance Marathon, and going to as many Husker games and events as possible. It’s been such a good first year!

Even with everything going on at college, I have still continued to braid! The last few months have been busy with birthday parties, events and individual styles! Running this business is something I genuinely enjoy and I love meeting so many new people and bringing joy to so many little girls!

I’ll be back in Omaha this summer and while I’ll be doing an internship, I still plan on taking braid appointments when I can! My availability will just be a little more limited than before.
