When to see a dermatologist vs when to see an esthetician 📝
More products don't equal better results 🙅🏽♀️
One of the biggest mistakes I see is layering five different serums hoping one will work.
Instead, your skin becomes overwhelmed, making it difficult to know what's actually helping and what's making things worse.
📝 Here's Your Adjustment
Simplify. Keep your routine simple!
A cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen, and a few targeted products will almost always outperform a complicated routine.
If you're using multiple active ingredients, ask yourself:
Does each product have a purpose, or am I using it because someone on social media recommended it?
A simple, strategic routine will almost always outperform a complicated one.
If you've been buying product after product but still aren't seeing the results you want, let's change that. Together, we'll create a personalized plan built around your skin, not social media trends.
Send me a message. I'd love to help you feel confident in your skin again 🤍
🙋🏽♀️ Quick question...
If you could ask an esthetician or a dermatologist ONE skincare question without feeling embarrassed
What would you ask?
👇🏾 No judgment here.
Purging or breaking out? Know the difference. (Pt.2)
Not every breakout is part of the process…
If you're noticing new pimples in areas you don't normally break out, your skin may be reacting to something in your routine.
📝 Here's Your Adjustment
Simplify your routine for a few days and go back to the basics: Gentle cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen
Then ask yourself:
-What changed with my skincare?
-Did I recently introduce a new product?
-Am I using an active ingredient more often?
-Am I layering too many products together?
Now go a little deeper:
-Have I been more stressed than usual?
-Am I getting enough sleep?
-Have I been eating more processed foods?
-Have I been inconsistent with my home-care routine
Your skin gives clues, you just need to know how to read them. If you missed it, check out Part 1 where I explain the difference between purging and breaking out.
If you've been doing all the things and your skin still isn't improving, you don't have to figure it out alone. Together, we'll uncover what's holding your skin back and create a personalized plan designed specifically for you. Shoot me a message, I’d love to help you feel confident in your skin again 🤍
Hydration isn't just about drinking water 😳
You can drink a gallon every day and still have dehydrated skin.
Why?
Because hydration also depends on what you're putting ON your skin
When your skin feels dry or dehydrated, it's easy to spend money on products that aren't actually giving your skin what it needs.
📝 Here's Your Adjustment
Not all moisturizers are created equal!!
Dehydrated skin lacks water, so you’ll benefit from a lightweight, water-based (gel) moisturizer that helps replenish hydration
Dry skin lacks oil, so you’ll benefit from a richer cream that helps nourish the skin and lock moisture in.
Knowing the difference can completely change how your skin feels, and can save you from wasting money on products that aren't right for your skin.
That's why consulting with an esthetician is so valuable. Instead of guessing, you'll receive a personalized plan based on your skin's unique needs.
If you're ready to stop guessing and finally feel confident in your skin, I'd love to help. Send me a message, and let's take the first step together 🤍
🚨 Purging or breaking out? Know the difference. (Pt.1)
Not every new pimple means your new skincare products are making your skin worse.
Purging is often a sign that your skin is adjusting to active ingredients and moving in the right direction. It happens when ingredients like retinol or exfoliating acids speed up your skin’s natural cell turnover, bringing clogged pores to the surface more quickly.
Purging usually appears where you normally breakout, it's temporary and improves within a few weeks as your skin adjusts.
This process can feel scary, frustrating, and make you question whether your routine is working
📝 Here’s Your Adjustment:
Don’t stop your routine at the first sign of purging!! If you quit too soon, your skin doesn’t get the opportunity to complete the process.
Starting over with new products can delay your progress and keep you stuck in the same cycle.
Consistency is what gets you through the purge!
Healthy skin starts with the right strategy! Not more products. If you're ready to stop guessing and understand what your skin truly needs, send me a message. I'd love to help you create a personalized plan
Let’s Talk ✨
What's the ONE skin concern you've been trying to fix the longest?
👇🏾 Acne, dark spots, redness, texture, aging... tell me below
Let’s explain further why consistency is important with skincare 👩🏽🏫
The reason has nothing to do with motivation, but has everything to do with biology.
Your skin is constantly creating new cells deep beneath the surface. Those cells slowly travel upward before they're eventually shed. That entire renewal process takes about 28–40 days in healthy skin.
Think about baking a cake 🎂
You wouldn't open the oven every five minutes, change the temperature, swap ingredients halfway through, and then wonder why it didn't turn out. Right?
Your skincare works the same way.
Every time you add another product too soon, you're changing the recipe before you've seen the final result.
Instead of allowing your skin to communicate how it's responding, you're constantly changing the variables.
Then it becomes impossible to know what's helping, what's hurting, or what's simply not been given enough time.
This is why consistency beats adding another product.
Most people don't have a product problem. They have a patience problem.
READ THAT AGAIN!
Healthy skin isn't built by chasing the newest product. It's built by giving your skin enough time to do what it was designed to do, and making thoughtful adjustments only after you've collected enough information!
That's not guessing. That's strategy 🩷
Hope this helps

Stop changing your skincare every week, you’re keeping your skin stuck!!!
Your skin needs consistency more than it needs another product.
Constantly switching products makes it difficult to know what’s helping, what’s irritating, and what’s actually working.
📝 Here's Your Adjustment
-Choose a routine and commit to it for 6-8 weeks.
-Take weekly progress photos! Change is much easier to see when you compare photos
Consistency is what transforms your skin!! Not constantly starting over.
Follow for more skincare adjustments! Next, we’ll talk about purging vs. breaking out (because they’re not the same) and if you're ready to stop guessing and start following a personalized plan, send me a message. I'd love to help you take the next step in your skin journey.
You're treating the wrong problem!
If every breakout leaves behind a dark spot, it's easy to think the pigmentation is the problem
Here's what really happening...
Dark spots are the result of inflammation. If new breakouts keep appearing, you're chasing yesterday's problem instead of preventing tomorrow's.
Here's your adjustment 📝
Before reaching for another brightening product, calm the inflammation first
Go back to the basics: Gentle cleanser, hydrating toner, lightweight moisturizer
If a breakout is red and inflamed, use cool ice globes for a few minutes after cleansing to help temporarily calm the skin.
If you're stuck in the cycle of breakout, dark spots, breakout. It's time to identify what's causing the inflammation!
That's exactly what we uncover during your consultation, creating a personalized plan that addresses the cause, not just the marks it leaves behind.
If you're ready to stop guessing and finally feel confident in your skin, I'd love to help. Send me a message, and let's take the first step together.
