It’s all connected… sleep, stress, water, food. If something is off, I’ll help you reset!
Happy first day of Autumn!!! 🍁🍃🍂
We’re finally getting nearer to cooler weather, enjoying time outdoors, evening fires on the back patio, seasonal foods, cool, crisp air. It’s all within sight!
I’m hearing a collective sigh of relief… 😌

Are you a snacker? Do you reach for something every few hours? Are you ACTUALLY hungry when you do or is it out of habit or boredom? 🤔
Did you know SAD (seasonal affective disorder) can happen in summer too?! 🌞
This summer was particularly rough on us with the constant high temps, so if you’ve been feeling a bit more on edge, stressed, having trouble with sleep, noticing low energy or motivation, you are not alone!!
What can help? Sticking with your routine, stay cool and comfortable, enjoy indoor activities or outdoor at the right time of day, talk about it with a friend, and try not to spend too much time doomscrolling. 👀 And thankfully autumn is coming soon!!! 🍁

Recipe time! 🍓🥥
Here's a yummy way to use up the last of the summer strawberries! This recipe is dairy free (coconut yogurt) and sugar free (unsweetened yogurt) but still super rich and delicious.
If you want to increase the protein: look for a protein coconut yogurt (just watch for added sugars!) or a Greek yogurt if doing dairy or you can add up to a scoop of your favorite protein powder ( add a little coconut milk if needed to thin it out a bit).

Do you struggle with sleep? 😴 Do you often wake up in the middle of the night and have a hard time falling back to sleep? Or maybe you just can't ever get going in the morning and don't feel rested...
Here are a few tips to help improve your sleep quantity and quality! 💤
Sleep is essential for our restorative health. Our bodies work on repairing and replenishing the different systems in our body for the next day. Protecting your sleep schedule is one of the best things you can do for your body!
Around 7-9 hours is a good guideline for how much sleep you should try and get per night.
Have you tried a body composition scale to get your current metrics? It’s a useful tool at looking at more than just your weight. I utilize it for looking at % skeletal muscle, body water, protein, metabolic age, etc to get a bigger picture.
The coolest part of using these is you get to see where you’re currently at and can explore any improvements you might benefit from. So great to see these improvements actually being implemented and see that progress over a couple of weeks or months!
If you’re interested in learning your current body composition, schedule a visit with me to review it! You’ll leave with a printout and a plan!
For every 20 minutes of computer work, 20 minutes of forest therapy. It’s all about balance, right?! ☺️
Not sure if it’s realistic… but I’m willing to conduct more research. 😂
Health tip: Your body wasn’t designed to sit at a desk all day. Get up, move around, step outside, look at some trees—and give your brain a little reset.
But seriously, if you’re stressed or feeling the need to escape (maybe from the heat right now 🥵!), even a virtual escape through past adventures or a video walkthrough on your tv or computer offers your brain a chance to reset and relax a bit.

Fun little trend - I could keep going! 😁
Kinda chic to get stronger as you get older. 💪
Kinda chic to realize “healthy” doesn’t mean boring. 👏
Kinda chic to read the label, not just the front of the package. 🤓
Kinda chic to walk after dinner. 🏃🏻♀️
So, what is Kinda Chic to YOU?
🌊 You don’t have to change everything overnight. You just have to keep showing up, for yourself and your health.
Healthy habits are built one small step at a time. One nourishing meal. One walk. One glass of water. One good night’s sleep.
Progress is in the consistent choices you make every day that add up to lasting change.
If you’ve been waiting for the “perfect” time to start, this is your reminder that you don’t need perfection—you just need the next right step.
What’s one small healthy choice you’re making for yourself today? Share it below! 💙
You know it’s going to be good when it starts with a sizzle!
What are your favorite veggies to sauté before adding a protein?
I love onion, garlic, celery and today added a seasonal zucchini squash, chopped kale ribs and one sliced gold potato. I made a soup (in summer 🙃) but it was so good and nourishing with bone broth added. Plus the soup helped me reach my fiber goal for the day!
