Sunshine on my face.
A full heart.
A quiet mind.

Making time for self-love, building the business I prayed for, and leaving room for those sweet little moments of gratitude that remind me just how beautiful this season of life is.

It’s summer.
It’s slow.
It’s soft.
I like it here. πŸŒΌπŸ’›

I don’t cancel often… but if I do, apparently I come with the most unhinged excuses imaginable.

I had to try this trend, and my clients absolutely understood the assignment.

Which fake cancellation excuse would have fooled you for at least 3 seconds?

POV:
Your stylist could headline a 10-part Netflix series… but the unspoken NDA kicks in the moment you sit in the chair.

I don’t know nothin’. I didn’t see nothin’. I didn’t hear nothin’.

But if these walls could talk… Netflix would have 12 seasons.

What’s a crazy thing you heard behind the chair?

July has been one big experiment for me… and it’s taught me something I didn’t expect.

For years, I’ve believedβ€”maybe even fearedβ€”that if I wasn’t showing up on social media every single day, I’d be forgotten. That no matter how long you’ve been in business or how successful you’ve become, you always had to keep posting, creating, and staying visible.

This month, I decided to test that belief.

Instead of spending my extra time creating content, taking selfies, and thinking about what to post next, I invested it in myself. Morning walks. Weight training. Meal prepping. Journaling. Quiet moments. Time with my husband. Time in nature. Time that didn’t need to be shared with anyone else.

And honestly… I’ve loved it.

There are still parts of my journey I’m keeping private for now, and one day I’ll celebrate those with you. But this season has reminded me that not everything meaningful has to be posted.

After 32 years in the beauty industry, I’m finally learning that it’s okay to enjoy the life I’ve worked so hard to build instead of constantly documenting it.

I’ve found more balance. More mental clarity. Better physical health. And when it’s time to work, I show up with more energy, creativity, and passion than ever.

I’ve also realized something else: I don’t believe success comes from living on social media. I think it comes from doing great work, building genuine relationships, and creating experiences people can’t wait to tell others about.

You can share your life… and you can keep parts of it sacred.

For me, that’s what balance finally feels like.

I’d love to hear your thoughts. Do you ever feel pressure to always be β€œon,” or have you found more peace by stepping back?
