Last year at the end of the year I shared when that clock strikes midnight I officially made it through the hardest year I ever faced. And that was not any form to any exaggeration. I was placed with obstacles of the hardest lessons in friendships, I said goodbye to equality my all time favorite thing I have ever been blessed to love. And I said okay to putting a building on the market I grew to love so beyond greatly. I set out to have the best 2026 I could have with all those things in mind. In May I took that little space I loved off the market and said I would give it one of the hardest Hail Marys I could ever give. July I added the sweetest face to my family. August I become soul owner of this little space and also had the sweetest new face join the team who you all have grown to love in such a short time. Feeling like a failure comes in so many forms. Did I say goodbye to my sweet buddy at the right time? Did I just give up and say sell it? Did I just walk away from a friendship after years of begging for better? It’s not the questions that make you so beyond proud. It’s the actions you put after those questions. I’m not saying Rustic Roots will never struggle, I’m not saying I will not ever have to make such hard decisions again. But I’m so beyond proud of the way I made it through this last year and a half with so many of you cheering me on. So many questions, and so many tears. But so many great things from those hardships have formed. Thanks for standing by me even though some of you had no idea how hard showing up day by day sometimes was for me. I did it every single day for you! Here’s to the new “new” I think I might like this new a little bit better✂️🤍
