Yesterday we bid adieu to our amazing Amy who has been at the helm of our front desk for more than a decade! Amy is leaving us with a salon better than she found it—much of which is due to her many and varying contributions along the way. If you’ve ever been to either of our salons, you’ve been touched by Amy—whether you realize it or not. She answered our reception emails, picked up our phones, trained our front desk staff, and greeted each and every customer with a smile and a genuine desire to make their visit a great one. Amy became a friend to many of our guests and built relationships that will last for many years to come. Today we are sharing some photos from Amy’s last day AND from some of her moments over the years. Thank you, Amy, for all you have done. 🫶🧡

Today we are spotlighting one of our dynamo stylists, Vicky, who also happens to be celebrating her birthday today! 👏🧡🎂

With 33 years behind the chair, Vicky brings an incredible combination of experience, instinct, and artistry to everything she does. She is one of our go-to stylists for precision cutting and bob haircuts, whether it’s classic and polished or modern and textured.

Her talent extends beyond her precision cutting. She is also well known for creating masterpieces with color: beautifully blended blondes, natural-looking redheads, and rich, multidimensional brunettes.

For Vicky, beauty has always been about more than great hair. It’s about helping people feel their best, inside and out.

When she’s not behind the chair, Vicky loves staying active through fitness (inside and outside of the gym), listening to music, and tapping into another side of her creativity through painting on canvas.

Vicky is one of a handful of stylists who take guests in both our Northbrook and Vernon Hills salon locations—so she has many lucky clients all up and down Chicago’s North Shore.

Besides it being Libra season, October is the best month to feature Vicky Radaios-Georgiafentis because she is consistently one of our Halloween Queens. We always look forward to our salon’s dress up day because she never disappoints with her creative costuming, hair and makeup.

How lucky are we? 🧡 After five years behind the chair, this talented curly hair specialist has joined our salon.

Meet Fresca. Fresca is passionate about creating personalized cuts and color that enhance each guest’s natural features while fitting seamlessly into their lifestyle.

In addition to working with curls, she specializes in dimensional blonding and creating rich brunette colors.

Since beginning her career in 2021, Fresca has continued to grow her craft through advanced cutting and color education.

She believes great hair should not only look beautiful in the salon, but also feel manageable in everyday life.

Fresca approaches each guest with a calm, attentive ear and genuine curiosity. She takes the time to understand each guest’s unique hair, routine and goals, thus providing personalized education and practical techniques so they can feel confident caring for and styling their hair at home.

Though she just arrived, Fresca has already seamlessly blended into our salon family and we are so happy she’s here.

When she’s not behind the chair, Fresca enjoys thrifting for unique finds, traveling, and spending time with her cat.

23 years behind the chair (but who’s counting? 🫣😂)…

Today we shine the spotlight on Vernon Hills’ Queen Bee 🐝—the immensely talented and always ebullient Adrianna.

Her love for hairdressing is stronger than ever and she’s a true master at all she does—from extensions, to blonding to painting the most perfect (seemingly sun-kissed) brunettes.

Adrianna loves creating looks that enhance her guests’ most beautiful natural features and she’s “the great giver” of hair advice and beauty tips. Next time you see her, ask her about her top 5 must-haves. 🤩

Adrianna holds a special place in our Andreas Hogue history, as she was the very first stylist we hired for our Vernon Hills location. 🫶🏼

Since then, we have built a mighty team around her and all the while she has been watching, coaching, and leading by example. She is instrumental in helping the next generation of talent grow and genuinely loves the honor of doing so.

When we asked Adrianna what her favorite part of hairdressing is, she talked about the relationships she has built:

“The conversations that start during one appointment, pause…and pick right back up at the next…”

And she shared a sweet story about one of her very first clients from 23 years ago who STILL sees her today (along with her now-teenage daughter)! 😲 Talk about full circle…

Adrianna is a proud girl mom and when she’s not in the salon, you’ll most likely find her on the sidelines of a softball or volleyball game cheering on one of her sporty daughters.

We are so happy and proud that Adrianna chose Andreas Hogue as her salon of choice. It’s been a true pleasure to work alongside her for all these years and we look forward to many more years of watching her make magic behind the chair. 🪄

Our very fashionable Viennese guests Eva and Lenz love “haircut day” with their stylist Emmanuel. These two are a joy to see together in our salon—always smiling and filled with endless curiosity and enthusiasm for the people and the world around them. Today we heard tales from their recent adventures in Austria where they took ALL their grandkids and visited the old ski towns of their youth. What a joy it is to be in this business and to connect with fascinating people like Eva and Lenz. 🧡

Carla is an exceptionally talented stylist, colorist and makeup artist who has been with us since day one.

If Carla feels like part of the very fabric of who we are, it’s because she is. Since our inception, she has been present for nearly every meeting, class, celebration, and photo shoot. Her laughter fills every room she enters and her passion for hair is apparent in all that she does.

Carla has always been—and continues to be—a trusted advisor to Ashley and Andreas, helping shape our salon into a better place than it was the day before.

Andreas Hogue Salon would not be what it is today without Carla’s dedication, energy and love for her craft. Not only does she inspire young artists, she continues working full-time behind the chair churning out one amazing makeover after another.

As a stylist, Carla’s work has been featured in Modern Salon, Behind the Chair, Passion Hair and other publications. You can see her work displayed on the walls of our salons and on our website through the collaborations she has done with Chicago Portrait Photographer.
