📣 IMPORTANT BOOKING & SCHEDULING UPDATE — PLEASE READ! 🦀🌊

First, I want to say how incredibly grateful I am for every single one of you who continues to keep my chair full and support The Salty Locks Hair Studio. 💙 Being this busy is truly a blessing, but I also have to be realistic about what I can continue to handle.

📅 PREBOOKING IS NOW EXTREMELY IMPORTANT

If you want to remain on my schedule, PLEASE PREBOOK YOUR APPOINTMENTS.

I’m finding more and more clients reaching out the day before, the week of, or even a couple of weeks before needing an appointment. Unfortunately, I simply cannot promise availability on short notice anymore.

At this point, you should expect me to be booked AT LEAST ONE MONTH OUT from the day you contact us. Two weeks ahead at the very least would be so appreciated!

I also want to be transparent—I am finding myself extremely exhausted and overworked. I’ve been staying at the salon far too late trying to accommodate everyone, and at the end of the day, I’m also a mom with kids at home who need me. ❤️

I absolutely love what I do and taking care of my clients, but I have to create a healthier balance between my salon and my family. Having everyone prebook before leaving the salon would take a tremendous amount of stress off of me and allow me to properly plan my days instead of constantly trying to squeeze appointments into an already full schedule.

🌙 EVENING APPOINTMENTS

Moving forward, I will only be working TWO evening shifts per week.

If you require an evening appointment, PREBOOKING IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT. These appointments will fill up quickly.

If you do not prebook, you will be offered my soonest available appointment. If that appointment does not work for your schedule, Kyra’s books are open, and we will be happy to get you scheduled with her based on her availability. I personally trained Kyra and she is amazing at what she does! She can replicate what I do to a T! So trust when I say, you’re in impeccable hands!

📋 CANCELLATION WAITLIST

We will also have a cancellation waitlist available!

If you need an appointment sooner than my next opening, we can place you on the waitlist and contact you if something becomes available due to a cancellation or schedule change.

Please remember that the waitlist does NOT guarantee an earlier appointment, so I highly recommend securing my first available appointment AND joining the waitlist. If something sooner opens up, we can move you!

📱 FACEBOOK, TEXTS & PHONE CALLS

I also want to reiterate something important regarding communication.

When you message the salon through Facebook or even text message, you are more than likely speaking with Maggie, my assistant. 💙

Maggie handles a great deal of my scheduling and communication and she will take great care of you! She helps me tremendously by keeping up with messages and appointments while I’m behind the chair taking care of clients.

If you call the salon and I don’t answer, please understand that I am most likely actively working with a client. When I am behind the chair, I typically do not have time to stop a service to answer the phone—and I want the client sitting in front of me to have my full attention.

I will absolutely try to do better about returning voicemails myself. However, I will now be returning voicemails on Tuesday mornings. ☎️

So if you need quicker assistance with scheduling, Facebook or text messaging will generally be the best option, and please know that if Maggie responds, you are in great hands! She is currently enrolled in college and working another job as well, so trust if you message she will get back to you at her earliest convenience! She is my right hand! 😘

✂️ WE’RE ONLY TWO PEOPLE!

We are currently looking for the right stylist to fill our other chair. Is it an absolute necessity? No. Would it be wonderful to have the extra help? ABSOLUTELY. 😂

Right now, Kyra and I are only two people. There are only so many clients we can physically take care of in a day while still giving each person the time, attention, and quality they deserve.

We would much rather continue providing quality work than overload ourselves trying to fit everyone in.

So y’all…

If you come every 4, 6, or 8 weeks, let’s get those appointments on the books in advance. You can even book several appointments ahead so you know your preferred days and times are secured.

Please don’t wait until your roots are screaming, your grays are waving hello, or you suddenly realize you need your hair done next week. 😂 I may love y’all, but unfortunately, I cannot create more hours in the day!

These changes aren’t about turning anyone away. They’re about allowing me to continue doing what I love without running myself into the ground, while still being a present mom and maintaining the quality of work my clients expect from me. ❤️
