Here are a few reasons to keep more than one lotion in your lineup:

One of the most common things we hear is: “Just put me in for the full time. If I get too hot, I’ll just get out.”

Here’s the problem: heat and UV exposure are not the same thing.

The warmth you feel comes from infrared heat, while the tanning process comes from ultraviolet (UV) rays. By the time your skin starts to feel hot, your skin has already been exposed to UV radiation. Feeling comfortable doesn’t necessarily mean you’re tanning safely, and feeling hot isn’t an accurate indicator of when to end your session.

Your recommended tanning time is based on your skin type and is designed to help you tan gradually while minimizing the risk of overexposure. Trust the schedule. Your skin will thank you later.
