Travel is more than just sightseeing and eating — it’s also about the workshop experiences!
Candle-making sessions where you pick your own scents and pour your own wax.
Perfume workshops guided by local artisans who blend fragrances from Vietnamese botanicals.
Hands-on handicraft classes where you leave with something you actually made yourself.
These aren't tourist gimmicks. They're real, intimate experiences run by locals who genuinely love what they do. The hard part has never been that these workshops don't exist. It's just been hard to find them… until now.
Vio brings together local workshops and experiences that feel deeply, authentically Vietnamese. Browse by city, pick a free afternoon, and discover a side of Vietnam most tourists never get to experience.
Do you want to make something out of your own hand? Try now. Try Vio.
Touching Down in Saigon: Should You Walk or Ride a Motorbike?
Comment:
This is genuinely one of the first real decisions every traveler faces here. So, this is Vio’s suggestion for you!
Walking works - but only in the right pockets of the city.
The backpacker streets around Bùi Viện, the riverside stretch along Tôn Đức Thắng, and the leafy colonial blocks of District 3 are genuinely pleasant on foot. Go early morning or after 7pm when the heat has backed off a little, and you'll notice things you'd never catch from the back of a bike.
Rule of thumb: if it's under 1.5km and you're already in a tourist-friendly district, just walk. The city rewards the slow pace.
For everything else, believe me, book a bike - or car. Typical fares around the city run about 15,000 – 40,000 VND for most short trips. Or, if you know how to drive motorbike, rent one bike for yourself. But remember, make sure you have a valid driving license!
And here's the thing nobody warns you about — whether you've been walking the streets or white-knuckling it on the back of a scooter through rush hour, your body is going to feel it by evening. Sore legs, stiff neck, shoulders carrying more tension than you realized.
That’s the perfect time to download the Vio app and book your massage. With over 5,000+ services available across the city, you can easily find a high-quality spot right in your neighborhood.
If you're planning a trip to Saigon and have more questions, don't hesitate to reach out to Vio for support!

Do you have plans for this summer yet? 🌞
If not — Vietnam in June–July might actually be THE move. And if you're already considering it, here's why you should stop hesitating.
Here's what Vio's local insiders want you to know before you book:
On timing & crowds:
• Vietnamese public holidays end in early May — by June, the domestic tourist rush is completely gone. Fewer crowds at Hội An, Hạ Long, Ninh Bình. Same scenery, way less chaos.
• June also hits a sweet spot for pricing: hotels, tours and domestic flights quietly dip before the international peak hits. Book early through Vio and you'll feel the difference.
On weather:
• Central Vietnam (Đà Nẵng, Nha Trang, Quy Nhơn) is in its DRY season from June–August. That's right — peak beach weather, zero excuses.
• Up north? Yes, it rains. But Vietnam summer rain = a 20-minute afternoon shower, then clear blue skies. Not the all-day drizzle you're imagining.
On hidden itineraries worth knowing:
• Côn Đảo — May to September is literally its BEST season. Calm seas, pristine beaches, and sea turtle nesting if you're lucky.
• Phú Yên — Vietnam's quietest coastline. Ghềnh Đá Đĩa, Bãi Xép, and barely a tourist in sight.
• Hà Giang — Summer turns the terraced rice fields blindingly green. It's a completely different landscape from the harvest season crowds.
And, if you’re looking for a relaxing massage, a spa day, beauty treatments, or want to book events that are deeply rooted in Vietnamese culture, make sure to download Vio as soon as you arrive in Vietnam:

Long weekend and no plans yet?
Here are 4 spots locals are rushing to right now — all within a few hours from Saigon!
Vũng Tàu: Beach, fresh seafood, and that famous lighthouse view. Only 2 hours away and basically everyone's first call when a long weekend hits.
Mũi Né: Sand dunes, kite surfers, and sunsets that hit different. About 4 hours out but absolutely worth the drive for a proper escape.
Mekong Delta (Tiền Giang / Cần Thơ): Floating markets, coconut candy factories, and boat rides through the canals. A completely different side of Vietnam and it's right on Saigon's doorstep.
Tây Ninh: History, fresh air, and the famous Cao Dai Temple all in one day trip. Perfect if you want something low-key but memorable.
Pick your vibe, hit the road and when you're back, let Vio - smart booking app for spa, massage, nail - handle the recovery!

Be honest — how many times have you searched through Saigon only to find the same old spots?
No judgment. But if you're ready to actually see the city, here are 5 spots that most tourists walk right past.
Start with Phu Chau Floating Temple — a tiny pagoda drifting on the Saigon River, incense smoke rising over the water, completely unbothered by the city buzzing around it.
From there, head to The Vietnamese Traditional Medicine Museum, where 3,000 years of healing wisdom sit quietly in wooden cabinets and glass jars. It smells like your grandmother's kitchen and feels like time stopped on purpose.
If you've never seen a Traditional Water Puppet Show, fix that immediately. It's been around since the 11th century and somehow gets more magical every time.
Then wander into one of The Apartment Building Cafés on Nguyễn Huệ — a whole building stacked floor by floor with independent coffee spots, each one with its own personality and a balcony view that hits different at golden hour.
And save the best for last: Do Phu Café, hidden inside a colonial-era house, frozen somewhere between 1960 and a dream. Sit down, order slowly, and don't check your phone for a while. Saigon will still be there when you look up. 🌿
And after all that walking, sweating, and getting wonderfully lost in the city — your feet deserve a break. Book a massage or a relaxing hair wash on Vio and let the rest of the day melt away.
