MABON & The emerging Crone

Mabon, the Autumnal Equinox here in the Northern Hemisphere, is a time of gratitude. It is also when we celebrate the emerging Crone, the goddess of the winter months. The Crones were the elders who carried the wisdom of the ages on their shoulders, which had been gathered and honed through sheer experience.

In ancient times they served as the story tellers, the teachers, the healers and guides who lead the way. And for each of us, there is this recognition that we are entering this dark time of year in order to go within, and meet our own inner Crone. We do this to assimilate all that we have gained, all we have lost and learned, not only so that we can better plan for the year ahead, but to be able to connect with spirit, so that we may never lose sight of what really matters in the end.

The upcoming New Moon is complicated in so many ways! But is truly an opportunity to move on with our healing journey.

The New Moon in Virgo on September 10th (or 11th depending on where you are in the world) is both complicated and incredibly motivating. Just look at all the activity on the day of the New Moon!

Use it to find your footing, follow through with pending changes, and get your life in order. There is much more than meets the eye with this Moon.

A partial LUNAR ECLIPSE on August 28th
square unpredictable and erratic Uranus

At the end of next week, on August 28th (or 27th depending on where you are), we have a final Lunar Eclipse in Pisces. Because it is also square unpredictable and surprising Uranus, we can expect things to both speed up, and possibly change on a dime. Be flexible and don't jump to conclusions.

Considering this, we all might want to wait until after the eclipse, and the dust finally settles, before consolidating our plans. There's just no telling.

Betwixt and between the Eclipses we see windmills and/or giants. Perhaps both.

In the space between the eclipses we may become aware of a void. Things are in the process of transition, and it is all we can do to merely step through the veil between the past and the future. In this space can be found some murky waters. All the more reason to keep our wits about us, in order to see things as they actually are, not what we want and/or fear them to be.

TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE AUGUST 12th

Welcome to Eclipse Season.. where magic dwells and the fates weave their tapestries. On August 12th we have a Total Solar Eclipse in the sign of Leo. Magical and Mystical, we are being shown what needs to be released in order to grow in ways that we might not have even thought possible.

On Wednesday, August 12th, we have a Total Solar Eclipse at 20º Leo 08. It will be seen in its totality in Greenland, Iceland, parts of Russia, northern Spain, and a bit of Portugal. For the rest of us where the Eclipse occurs during the daylight hours, it will be seen as a partial eclipse. Here on the East Coast of the United States, the Eclipse occurs at 1:46 pm (10:46 am Pacific Time; 6:46 pm in the UK).

The Chironic retrograde phase is a time of year in which we are asked to pay attention to our own healing journey. Memories surface, old wounds reopen, and we come face to face with what needs healing, forgiving, releasing and forgetting. The retrograde phase of Chiron compels us to look within, to the very root of what ails us, to the inception and cause. This is when we are most able to do a lot of this inner work.

The Full Moon in Aquarius this week is conjunct Pluto while Jupiter is cazimi, in other words, in the heart of the Sun. This alone gives pause. Combine that with the stations of Mercury (direct) and Saturn (retrograde) and the True Nodes changing signs.. put that all together and so we see the Basket/Cradle brought to fruition with the Full Moon in Aquarius this week.
