Anmian “Peaceful Sleep” is in the category of what we call extra points, meaning they’re recognized acupuncture points that exist outside of meridians. Anmian is a great point for restless sleep, especially restless as the result of agitation as it calms the spirit. Massage this point in gentle circles and while your there give that whole occipital ridge some attention. I bet you’ll feel relaxed and maybe even sleepy. 🥱

Late Summer is a bridge between the expansion of summer and the refinement of autumn. As this season is governed by the element of earth, it’s an appropriate time to digest life’s experiences, to create new boundaries based upon that integration and to offer gratitude to ourselves and the season’s bounty. In this group we’ll use the active breath to practice embodying these intentions; what we will release, what we will carry forward and the depth and breadth of it all.
Breathwork is an active meditation that by occupying the mind creates space for the body to release somatic holding, to experience emotion that might not be available at the surface and to access intuition and insight. This is your practice and I encourage everyone to breathe at a pace that feels right for you and to use this practice as a container of self holding, self listening and self care.

Did you know that I do virtual sessions? Breathwork, Hypnosis & Custom Flower 🌼 Remedies are all offered online so you can still access support while you summer.
Maybe you’re entering a new chapter and want a flower essence to support your vibrational shift.
Or maybe you’re holding a lot of stress, grief or overwhelm and you need to breathe it out of your body.
Perhaps you’re looking to create new patterns, stories and belief systems with hypnosis.
I’m here for you on the other end of this crystal computer chip. 🧿

The elements are both interdependent and generative, each with its own vital role and function, but there is just something about the fFire element that is undeniably alluring. Fire has a key role in our evolution. It’s the sun we circle around and the lava core of the earth we reside upon. We were born in water, but fire has our hearts. In Chinese mMedicine, it is the spirit of the heart. Summer is the alchemical fire of the year offering transmutation to the spirit. We step into this season one way, but if we allow our hearts to be touched by the season, we will come out changed.

We’re halfway through this fire horse year. Mostly I feel like I’m just trying not to be thrown off the horse, it’s moving so fast and with so many big changes. One of the biggest changes for me this year is going back to school to study Chinese Herbal Medicine. I had forgotten what being a student at this level looks like. There will also be more scheduling options at Nest coming soon, some Mondays and weekends, really excited about that. In between it all, I’m trying to slow down and savor as much as I can and be present for the small beautiful moments.
This year feels tectonic in its foundational shifts and I’m wondering how everyone is handling their own bumpy rides and wishing you lots of gentleness and support and bowls of sweet fruit.
