The farmers market is one of my favorite places to be!
From the vibrant colors and fresh seasonal produce to the conversations with the people who grow our food, every visit feels like a reminder to slow down and reconnect with nature.
I wrote a new Substack article all about it. Link in the bio. I hope it inspires your next visit to the market. 🍑🥕🥬

Why does Ayurveda recommend soaking and peeling almonds?
In Ayurveda, soaking almonds overnight and removing the skins is believed to make them easier to digest, reduce heaviness, and enhance their nourishing (ojas-building) qualities. This preparation is traditionally used to support digestion, reduce ama (toxins), and promote overall balance, which Ayurveda associates with a healthier inflammatory response.

Sometimes reinvention doesn’t look like becoming someone new. Sometimes it looks like carrying forward everything you’ve learned and allowing it to shape the next chapter.
A year after returning to production, I’ve been reflecting on identity, purpose, and why I thought I had to choose between different parts of myself. Turns out, I didn’t.

One of my favorite summer rituals. 👩🌾
A slow walk through my farmers market reminds me of something Ayurveda has taught for thousands of years: nature provides exactly what we need, when we need it.
Sometimes wellness isn’t complicated. It’s fresh food, sunshine, community, and learning to live in rhythm with the season.
What’s at your market right now?

Summer is often associated with vitality, freedom, and feeling our best. But beneath the longer days and fuller schedules, many of us quietly experience more heat, overstimulation, disrupted sleep, and nervous system fatigue.
Ayurveda has understood this seasonal shift for thousands of years. In my latest article, I explore what Ayurveda understands about the transition into summer, why balance becomes so important during this season, and a few simple ways to support your body without adding another wellness checklist.

There are moments in life that don’t arrive as beginnings or endings, they arrive as pauses. A subtle interruption in the rhythm you’ve been moving to for years. Where what once worked starts to....
