Consultation always comes before recommendation.
One of my favorite parts of teaching is asking the right questions before I ever reach for a product.
I asked my model Darius Monroe , “So… are you using an eye cream?”
He smiled and said, “No.”
I laughed and said, “I could tell.” 😂 We both had a good laugh, but it opened the door for a real conversation about skincare.
Here’s the thing: if you’re only cleansing and moisturizing, you’re skipping one of the most delicate areas of your face. The skin around the eyes is thinner than the rest of your skin, which means it often shows signs of fatigue, dehydration, and fine lines first.
A good eye cream helps:
• Hydrate the under-eye area
• Reduce the appearance of puffiness
• Soften the look of fine lines
• Brighten the appearance of dark circles over time
Whether you’re an actor, model, bartender, or just someone burning the candle at both ends, taking care of your eyes can make a noticeable difference.
Remember, makeup can enhance your look, but great skincare transforms your skin.
Stay aligned, and stay beautiful.
Hey, RJ Beauties !
After years of working with some of the biggest names in entertainment, I’ve learned that growing a business takes more than talent. Here are five lessons that have helped me build a career as a celebrity makeup artist.
1. Master your craft. Your work should speak before you do.
2. Be consistent. People hire the professional they can count on, not the one who shows up once in a while.
3. Build real relationships. Every client is an opportunity to earn trust, not just a paycheck.
4. Stay teachable. Trends, techniques, and tools change. Keep learning so you stay ahead.
5. Treat your brand like a business. Your presentation, communication, and professionalism matter just as much as your artistry.
Success doesn’t happen overnight. It comes from showing up, improving every day, and making people feel confident in your hands.

Hey RJ Beauties, here are five things. I’ve learned being a celebrity artist down through the years.
1. Be prepared before you get on set. Major celebrities move fast, and there is no time to figure things out once the cameras are rolling. Know your job, bring your tools, and be ready to execute.
2. Your energy matters just as much as your talent. People remember how you made the room feel. Being calm, professional, respectful, and easy to work with can open doors that talent alone cannot.
3. Stay flexible. Call times change, looks change, lighting changes, and sometimes the whole plan changes. The people who last are the ones who can adjust without bringing stress into the room.
4. Details are never small. Whether it is a lash, a wardrobe adjustment, a touch-up, or the way someone enters a scene, the smallest details can make the biggest difference on camera.
5. Protect the experience. Working with high-profile people taught me that trust is everything. Respect privacy, do not overshare what happens behind the scenes, and always make people feel safe in your chair and on set.
