At the end of July, we had the honor of filming at Ronald McDonald House Westchester for their Christmas in July celebration. Their mission is powerful: to provide essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare. For over 15 years, Ronald McDonald House Westchester has provided a place to stay, home cooked meals, and a true sense of community for families of critically ill children, just steps away from Maria Fareri Children's Hospital.
Christmas in July is a chance to bring some joy, some warmth, and a little holiday magic to families who need it most, right in the middle of summer. Walking into the Ronald McDonald House to see the decorations, smiling faces, and that kind of energy in the room; it is not something you forget or take for granted.

We use AI as a sparring partner.
Ryan and I sat down this week in our NYC office to talk about something we get asked about a lot: why are some companies still hesitant to use AI in their workflow? Great convo captured on META. The honest answer is that change is hard. Breaking habits that have worked for years takes intention. But the teams that figure it out early are the ones that are going to have a real edge.
At Red Summit we have been exploring AI across our creative process. One workflow we have been loving lately is generating a still image first for inspiration and then animating the concept into real life video. Simple concept, incredible results. The tools are evolving fast and we are here for all of it.

Throwback to a f***y pack full of DVR tapes and a Panasonic 100B that never left our hand.
Back in our Martha Stewart and Rachael Ray days, that was the setup. Thirty minute tapes. Batteries that you had to baby all day long. If you were in the middle of a documentary and sitting in a therapy session with someone, you had to know exactly how to quietly swap a tape without breaking the moment. No cutting. No interrupting. Just smooth hands and a lot of preparation.
That skill set is something we carry with us to this day. Knowing your gear inside and out, anticipating what is coming before it happens, making sure nothing technical ever gets in the way of the story. The cameras are different now. Card slots that run three or four hours, batteries that last all day. But that discipline of being ready for anything? That never changes.
We came up the right way and we would not trade it for anything.

This week at Red Summit Productions was all about adaptability.
Over the course of seven days, our team moved between productions for a skincare brand in New Jersey and a nonprofit in Rye, while also developing pitches for clients across completely different industries, from fintech to cardiovascular health.
We also kicked off a new campaign that brought us straight into location research throughout New Jersey — connecting with local film commissions, understanding permit timelines and fees, and making sure those details are accounted for early in the production process.
And we continued our longtime work with Ronald McDonald House, capturing one of their fundraising events in Westchester and moving that project into post-production.
Different clients. Different locations. Different creative and logistical needs.
That variety is what keeps production interesting, and it’s also what makes having an adaptable team so important.

Three years in a row, and we’ll say it every single time: this one is special.
Last week, our team was on the ground in Midtown Manhattan at the iconic Ziegfeld Ballroom for the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai White Coat Ceremony.
Events of this scale don't just happen, they take months of meticulous preparation. With two cinematic 4k cameras on professional grade gimbals and one of our go-to event photographers, Rob Tannenbaum, capturing every angle on the floor, we were locked in to document a day these students and their families have worked a lifetime to reach.
Every year, we film and produce a feature video shown during the ceremony. Watching a sea of family members hold up their phones to capture our work on screen. Seeing that real-time emotion confirms the production landed with maximum impact!
After nearly 16 years of navigating high-stakes live productions and evolving alongside our clients, that feeling never gets old. When you stand in that room, you feel the weight of future doctors stepping into their purpose.
Delivering flawless ex*****on under pressure is what we do best, but storytelling like this is why we love doing it.

We have the best team in the business.
Five years ago this week, Ryan joined the Red Summit family.
When I met Ryan, I knew I needed him on our team. The way he carries himself on set, the care he puts into every single project, and the professionalism he brings to every client interaction set the standard for what we do.
I often talk about having the best team in the business, and Ryan is a great example of that. He’s a big reason our sets run as smoothly as they do. Delivering an A+ production experience isn't just about high-end gear; it’s about ex*****on, poise, and making complex logistics look effortless for our clients.
Whether he’s directing high-stakes branded content, collaborating with casting agents, or telling deeply human stories for a major client campaign, he approaches every project with unmatched craft, precision, and heart.
Five years of high fives. Five years of early call times and long shoot days. Five years of craft service tables, delayed 7 train rides, and problem-solving on the fly to keep every shoot flawless. Ryan has led his projects with a level of dedication that makes everyone around him better, and we are so proud to have him as part of this family.

RSP was on set every single day this week and honestly, there’s nothing quite like it.
What people don't always see on set is the mountain of pre-production, planning, and puzzle-piece solving happening behind the scenes to make the productions seamless.
