A diamond in the rough, this guy. It’s all about seeing POTENTIAL. He was a little chonky, and a little cocky - and something said, HEY, IM A RUNNER.
We couldn’t be more proud of our team, and of our horse. A second stake win at Saratoga for the barn, especially already- that’s what dreams are made of. And wow - Flavien Prat (fan page) , what a ride! Thanks for believing in Chummers, and in us. From LAST. To FIRST. Who doesn’t LOVE that stretch call? Jaime Rodriguez, who had never sat on Heeere’s Johnny, rode him with all the confidence in the world, and broke his maiden in the SARANAC STAKE at SARATOGA. What a win. What a turn of foot. Jaime picked up the mount after the horrific spill two races prior - Dylan Davis, we are thinking of you and sending love to you, and all the other riders and horses involved.
The whole team - the exercise riders, the grooms, the hotwalkers, the owners - knew Johnny was a star. Always. Never a question. He really proved it today. Congratulations to the owners - Magic Carpet Racing, Catherine Coyle, and Blue Bison Stable.
A horse like this couldn’t happen to better people. And ROUND OF APPLAUSE to the team. We just shipped up here, and they’ve kept everything running smoothly. Really proud of the whole crew. I’ve said it before, but IT TAKES A VILLAGE. Thank you, all of you.

Aqueduct. Where do I even start? There’s nothing quite like the wind that whips off the water in the winter, or the unique paddock that suited the hecklers (and fans!) perfectly- such a part of life there, that if you came back after a race and it was quiet you felt like you’d done something wrong 😂
I had so many “firsts” there. My first job as an assistant trainer was there for Tony Dutrow. When I went out on my own and got my trainers license, I was alotted my first stalls in the Aqueduct Holding barn. Chase the Giant was the first winner of my career, at none other than Aqueduct, and a few years later, Promiseher America got me my first graded stake win there in the Gazelle. As excited as I am for a new and improved Belmont Park, it is bittersweet to leave behind this place where I have learned so much, and made so many memories, as well as friends. The track may be no more, but everything I’ve gained from Aqueduct will stay with me forever. Much Love and Farewell to The Big A.

Good ol’ Chummers made it WIN NUMBER TWO on the card today at Belmont at The Big A for Handal Racing. Thanks to Flavien Prat for a terrific ride! Chummers has been on the team his whole career, and would you believe we got him for 6K at the Fasig Tipton Kentucky Fall Yearling Sale in 2024? Shout out to Oracle Bloodstock for the assist (as always!). And congratulations to the whole team at Handal Racing. It takes a village, and it isn’t always easy. We are also so grateful for everyone’s support! Neither one was a long shot, but it still feels BIG to have a double! Thank you, thank you.

EZ Rolllllllll! What a racehorse. He and Dylan Davis duked it out down the lane to win the 6th race at Belmont at the Big A, today! He’s run 5 times this year - THREE WINS, a second, and a third. And today, he got a *90 Beyer*! So proud of him, and of everyone involved. Congratulations to Winning Dreams Racing Stable, LLC. And well done to the whole team! 👏🏻

We are excited to be adding Hip 142 from the OBS sale to our Handal Racing Roster! This beautiful NY Bred filly by Independence Hall walks with swag and runs FAST (9.4, to be exact). Straight to Belmont she goes, and we can’t wait to see what she can do!

It was allllll Fairy Godmother and Dylan Davis in today’s 4th race at Belmont at the Big A. They were much the best, and all alone at the wire. It’s always fun to win for Merrylegs Farm (owner, AND breeder), and man are we glad to have Dylan back! EZ Roll! It wasn’t the EZest trip, but Jorge Vargas did a great job keeping him out of trouble and made sure he got a clean run - and run he did! They dominated the 6th race (Alw) at Aqueduct today! Congratulations to Winning Dreams Racing Stable, and round of applause for everyone on the team! It takes a lot of work to have these horses ready to perform their best, and we’ve got a great crew.

Handal Racing is excited to welcome this pretty 2 year old Early Voting filly to the roster. There were a lot of nice horses at OBS March, but she was definitely a standout. As always, thanks to Oracle Bloodstock with the assist in finding our future champs!
